pearl jam has been my favorite band since the moment i was the airing of MTV unplugged in 1992. they are the reason that i am a music fan. i've been a 10c member for about 13 years now. out of those 13 years i've gotten tickets to see them twice. not because they weren't available, but because they haven't come anywhere near me in 10 years. i really enjoy the holiday singles we get each year and the opportunity to purchase limited 10c merch/vinyl. i don't ever remember a 10c black friday sale, but that's not to say they haven't had them and i may have forgotten.
i don't mind paying $40/year to be a member just because you never really know when you'll get that opportunity to get something really cool that's limited to 10c, you always get the holiday single, and 10c members always get first crack at tickets when they tour (if they come to your region). i'll also agree that the lottery system for this current tour sucked, but at least i managed to get 10c tix for the dallas show. i just hope i'm not on the floor!

yep, Oct 25-27. last year we aid the $25 to get early access on Friday, i will not be doing that this year. the vast majority of stuff that i found was still there on saturday (except my sealed OG pressing of Mechanical Animals for $25). this year, we'll just be paying the $5 to get in on Saturday and spend Thursday and Friday bombing around Austin and visiting all of the other great record stores there.

Aren't you the one being greedy by saying you want limited pressings to stay limited so not everyone has the chance to buy them? I hate that type of "collector" mentality, it just reminds me of comic book guy from the Simpsons. Who cares how limited something is? It has no effect on me actually being able to enjoy the music on a record when I put it on my turntable. I buy the music I like and I think everyone should be entitled to do the same. -

i managed to snag a sealed OG press of Mechanical Animals at the Fall Austin Record Convention for $25. i thought there was a mistake on the price so i had to ask the guy three times.
