I don't have an easy answer to this. I'm not sure what violence is necessary in this case. Perhaps the kind of violence that shuts down the police force and causes it to restart fresh with a new code of conduct where force isn't the first answer. I'm not honestly sure, however I don't think peaceful marches are the answer either.

So you're saying a revolution brought about by the oppression of the ruling class and a large wealth disparity is the same as ISIS. I see no connection at all. My point is that the justice system and the power dynamic in this country is so fucked that we need to start over. I'm not saying lets all turn into religious zealots (ISIS) and kill the innocent. You missed my point entirely. I brought up both revolutions because the people that started those felt that they were being treated unfairly and revolted to change that. It wasn't a peaceful protest, there were no sit ins. Real change is brought about by violent revolution, and until that happens here nothing will change. My point is the entire system is broken and we need some serious change, and historically that change is brought about by revolution not the peaceful protests everyone is calling for. So peaceful protests are the only way to bring about change? The American Revolution was peaceful? The French Revolution was peaceful? History has shown again and again that change is brought about through violent revolution. Shit this country was founded by that. I'm not saying burning a store is the right answer. But saying they should be happy with a peaceful protest is not how significant change happens. The system is broken, burn it down and start again.
