I'm think Amoeba will have it similar to what Sub Pop is charging, at least that's what I'm hoping for myself - ~$35. It's the 9% CA tax that chaps my ass. though haha

you could probably email customer service, but I would imagine you are getting the Loser Edition because Sub Pop's website still says that the loser edition is available. I'm sure they pressed 5000+ of these on the colored variant. Usually when they run out of Loser Editions, they strike through that info on their pre-order page.

a lot of good advice in here, first thing I do is what many have mentioned already, which is pay yourself. Then I only set aside $60 per paycheck to spend on records - doesn't mean I have to spend the $60 every two weeks mind you, but it lets me purchase at least 3 records I want per pay period. Granted I have a full time job so I can do whatever amount I want, so set aside a reasonable amount per pay period and that's it.

The National is one of my five favorite bands but I'll only buy the boxset if it includes a bonus 7" and/or special variant. Which I'm assuming it will be cuz the National and 4AD don't seem like the band and label that would just put extra pointless stuff in a boxset.
