Craig absolutely means to do it and it's part of his writing style because he's basically telling an album (even career) spanning story with his lyrics. It's much more excusable in that context - actually, it's pretty damn impressive. It's a way of pulling you in on the first listens of a new album too - kind of like a film sequel calls back to the previous films. That said, I like Brian's writing as well but it does get repetitive sometimes. I'm in the camp that thinks that 59 Sound is absolutely perfect, and I actually didn't start to catch on to the repetition until American Slang, so maybe that is why I enjoyed the previous albums more.

I'd prefer them to be the 2007 reissues.

Just scored sealed, colored vinyl versions of Sorry Ma and Hootenanny on discogs for $45 total

$19 is a steal. I've seen this for $40+ Guess it all depends on the condition.

Looks like a great copy of Hootenanny. I'll keep an eye on this one.

I've been holding out on these until the potential reissues, but I just reread All Over But The Shouting and now I'm really wanting these again. There is a lot of all of their vinyl on ebay for $700, but that's just ridiculous.

Thanks guys. What made me think about it was - I found this on the Twin Tone website under Hootenanny: "Released April 29, 1983, we sold more than 38,000 vinyl copies. The final pressing in the late eighties (to run out the jackets) of aprox 1,000 were pressed on colored vinyl. We had a few left for mail order until 2009, now vinyl and cassette versions are "out of print." Twin/Tone has licensed the project to Restless/Ryko."

I know that Rhino took these over from Twin Tone, but does anybody know if any albums will be reissues besides Tim and Pleased to Meet Me? It just seems like a odd order to release these in...

I love this album - although I think the one time I listened to Fuzz War is going to be my last.

I've heard from somebody who knows these sort of things (works at Cobra Lounge) that the aftershows/secret shows are going to be insane this year. Bands that aren't even on the lineup will be playing, and some big names will be playing some very tiny venues.

I saw these guys last night in Chicago. The album is absolutely phenomenal and they sounded perfect live. Brian really needs himself a new guitar to cut out he tuning in between songs, but this band is pretty much perfect right now.

Hope this isn't too stupid of a question, but I have this model and recently upgraded it with a speed box and I have a question. If I'm playing a record at 33 1/3 RPM a side is complete and I go to flip it, the speed box changes to 45 RPM and I have to switch it back. Is that normal?

What is the usual asking price for "Dog Problems" ? No copies on discogs or ebay right now...
