  1. Billy Talent doesn't seem to be a very popular band on these boards, but I'm sure there's a couple fans here. I'm pretty excited that my son got to meet one of his favorite bands and the whole experience is now being shared with the world! http://billytalentband.tumblr.com/post/49180428813/meet-brady-show-correspondent-for-kitchener
  2. The joys of being American. My order which included the BB 7" has a shipping cost of $15!! An the kicker is I live 45 minutes from D.A. headquarters. Moving the webstore to the US is a bummer for Canadians.
  3. Didn't get much. Mumford 10" Pink Floyd 7" Billy Talent 7" for my son grabbed the mystery side by side for a laugh, Grateful Dead/Dr. John, The Dixie Cups. Wanted to get ATDI but $40!! No thanks.
  4. My store had a stack of them. Way over priced!
  5. I think the Itunes was on the pressing page at one point. As for the repressing, AIB LP was pressed with the same DAV010 plates as the original, so technically a second pressing, no? But the Moneen was completely redone with new plates and an added track, hence the new Cat. #. I also realized that there are 8 "new" releases in the AOF box set which will account for almost every Cat # between 59-67.
  6. DAV 018 - Brant Bjork - Punk Rock Guilt (Assigned but never pressed) DAV 039 - ???????????? (Justin says this is will be released) DAV 043 - AOF - ITunes Originals DAV 047 - AIB - Bonus 10" DAV 048 - Wool - Bonus 7" DAV 050 - Moneen - Bonus 7" 059 - 067 could be the complete AOF Boxset or most of it anyway. But I have a hard time imagining they would reassign everything that was previously pressed by them (OC/YC, Dog's Blood, Aussie 7", Insulation Tapes, Math Sheets) but who knows?!? (Justin ) This is slightly off topic from this thread but oh well. I think it fills in most of the gaps.
  7. DAV 18 was assigned to Brant Bjork LP if I remember right, but was never pressed. Just imported from what Justin told me in the past.
  8. pretty sure oc/yc, dog's blood and math sheets will use the same DAV as the original pressing. I'm at work so I can't look at my list, but I believe DAV 39 is the only unknown for me. Attack in Black 12" is actual still DAV 10 the 10" has the cat. # on the sleeve (48?). I can confirm the rest when I get home. Unless gcarn or Justin get to it first.
  9. If you're going to screw people on shipping costs at least be consistent about it. Single item shipping for the Super Bundle, which contains the vinyl bundle and a GUITAR, is less than shipping the vinyl bundle on its own!?! How the hell does that work?
  10. $1200 for the Super Bundle!?! That's a pretty massive markup for the Dallas Green "signature" version of that guitar. Wow.
  11. The guitar retails around $600 US so this package won't be cheap!
  12. Just got home from a record show in Mississauga. I picked up a copy of the Dine Alone pressing of this release, listening to it now.
  13. Tried to get tickets for the Simcoe show. Sold out in 17 minutes! I've seen the band a few times so i'm not too upset, but these shows look like a great time.
  14. www.insound.com and www.newburycomics.com both have an ok selection. Most gig poster artists sell their work online if you're looking for something specific. A few of my favorites: www.printmafia.net www.animalrummy.com (Rob Jones) www.toddslater.net www.munkone.com www.strawberryluna.com www.taramcpherson.com
  15. What colour is the Moneen - Hold That Sound EP?
  16. I'd agree with this. Before the Hey Rosetta set I talked to about a dozen of the VIPs sitting in the front row and nobody had any intention of parting with them. I don't think the 14-20 year old female demographic (all the VIPs I talked to) is all that keen on record trading or selling on ebay for that matter. There's definitely an emotional attachment to these things. On a brighter note my orange/pink Little Hell arrived today and it looks great!
  17. Recieved my Dine Alone version today. Looks great, but I found it kind of odd that there is no reference to Dine Alone Records what so ever.
  18. Picked up tickets for the final show in Hamilton. Waited for the floors to sell out and bought great seats at the side of the stage so I can take my 4 year old son (safer than having him in the GA floors). He's super excited to get to see Alexis who are his second favourite band, right after Billy Talent, who he got to see this summer at Edgefest! This should be a great December, VIP on the 26th, GA on the 28th and now taking my son on the 30th!
  19. Updated! Don't imagine the new C&C VIP variant will be obtainable or affordable ($250 for a VIP ticket!!!) but whatever.
  20. Recieved notification from Ticketmaster friday saying the vinyl will be available for pick up at the venue. Photo ID matching the package purchaser is required for pickup and any unclaimed vinyl is forfeited, no shipping, venue pick up only. Sounds about the same as the Tegan and Sara split. I'll try to get extras of anything available at the merch table if anyone is interested.
  21. I thought it was a decent show. Lawrence Arms, Fucked Up and Hot Water Music were the highlight for me. I also thought Organ Thieves sounded great. Andrew W.K. was awful! I wasn't a fan and that "performance" didn't change anything. I was happy to see so many young people excited to see The Descendents though. It was definitley a massive cash grab for the vendors. I stopped at the poutinerie on Queen on the way back to the subway and got twice the order for half the price! A fun day though.
