my fav of theirs, when i saw them live recently they pulled out quite a bit from this album, was a surprisingly good show.

Was it the Catch For Us The Foxes 10th anniversary tour? I would imagine they would quite a bit from that album.

That was an amazing tour though, I've seen these guys more times than I can remember and they never disappoint.

If you are getting powered speakers, then yes, you will have volume controls on the speakers which would plug directly into the preamp. Otherwise you will need to get an amp or receiver to plug the speakers into for power and that device will have volume control on it.

Were any of you looking for this release before Mondo decided to release it?

Do you have any money saved up? It's obviously ideal to have a job lined up before you leave the last one but sometimes you just have to get yourself out of a bad situation.

If you have doubts about this new one then it might be good to hold out a little longer. If you are worried about burning a bridge at your current place and don't mind holding out a little longer, you could let them know you are ready to start transitioning out, you can start saving up as much as possible, and then once you are done over there you can fully commits lol your time to looking for the something best suited for you. The old job might even be cool with you taking personal time for those last minute interviews if you keep them up to speed and communicate properly while also staying longer than the minimum required two weeks.

I think in most cases you will get the same amount of money for something that is sealed vs. not sealed if it's only opened to verify color. If it is a super rare and valuable release, yes sealed will net you some more dough.

Don't understand this mentality....I feel like for a decent chunk of people this is their version of CDs....I never had a really nice CD player or speakers in my vehicle and jammed them via a boombox.....but I had hundreds and hundreds of CDs at one point in time. Before anybody jumps my shit, I love my Marantz receiver and wouldn't mind upgrading my Marantz Turntable and vintage Polk-Audio speakers.......but I'm never going to give anybody shit for spinning their records on an Ion USB TT or owning a Crosley

I think that if crappy CD players wore out CDs with every play to the point where their sound would get distorted then people would probably invest in a better CD player.

Anyone know how long Mondo takes to respond re: damaged records? I messaged their CS dept who told me to email damages@mondo, but I guess it's been about 6 days and I haven't heard back.

I don't mind waiting of course, just would be good to know they've seen my email. Guess they have a bit of a backlog maybe.

They have usually responded within 24 hours for me but they are probaby crazy busy with mondocon coming up. I would maybe send them a follow up email though.
