I've heard from some retail folks that it will be an iPod and it is shipping today. However, when it comes to Apple I trust NO ONE until the Apple store goes down and the announcements are made. 1-hour of anticipation left. My anxiety is killing me. Good thing it's time for my lunch break, I can relax and watch Scrubs, then *hopefully* order my new iPod.

If there really is a Flying Spaghetti Monster he will grant Steve Jobs the power to announce a new iPod today. The current gen has been on the market for 2 years and I'm craving for another update to the hard drive and a new physical appearance. After seeing the iPhone I no longer consider the video iPod to be an elegant piece of hardware. It's like comparing the DS "Phat" with the DS Lite. I currently have a 60gb and it is filled to the brim, every time I want to add even a song I have to delete something I really want to listen to. They better announce something with 100gb+! Rumors are pointing towards what I want, but there's also some circulating about larger flashed based iPods and bigger Nanos with video...cool, but useless for me. As long as it's not some announcement on the iPhone or iTv then I could be content. Subtopic: A few of my friends get first dibs, but I will be selling the aforementioned 60gb iPod at a fair price. It's white and comes with a leather case. I've kept it in pretty good condition considering its over a year old (I'll take pics if anyone expresses interest). Make some offers, I'm not trying to make a ton of bank, but a reasonable deal and I'll send it your way -- I'll also trade if you want to add cash and some vinyl...in fact thats a better idea because I don't really need the cash. /end nerd fest

I'm thinking outside the box a little today. What about getting together a list of websites that specialize in vinyl? Some people might not always know where to look. Drop a handful of links and what not. I sure as hell don't have nearly as many vinyl bookmarks as I should have. I'd also be interested in some news outside of the punk/hardcore spectrum. I know I'm barking up the wrong tree since the vinyl file is posted on Punknews.org. Maybe I should just start listening to punk music more often...heh.

I wish they were playing Pittsburgh or close again. Phenomenal band.

That's a cute gimmick, but both him and Kanye are under contract for more albums still. So their deal won't work out and you'll just be wasting money on a lame disc.

I've been looking forward to this album for a while now, but I gotta say it's kind of a let down. Very few songs maintain the spark that he had on College Dropout and Late Registration. Part of it's the music, but the one he's singing is also different. I think he's holding onto notes too long and his voice sounds awkward when he does so. A lot of people are pissed that he sampled Daft Punk, but I think "Stronger" is one of the finer cuts on the LP. "Bittersweet," and "Flashing Lights" are other highlights. "Can't Tell Me Nothing" would be a great song if it wasn't for the rising "oh-oh-oh-oh" that pops up too frequently. The collaboration with Lil Wayne on "Barry Bonds" is another potential hit that passes by without much flare. Wayne is generally a generic lyricist, but he has his moments, however his lines there are awful. The artwork is pretty lame too.

Going to punknews was like going to 4chan. I'm glad this has happened.

OMG! I actually want a pair of dunks and I enjoy my PBR. Not sure if I'd wear red/white/blue shoes though. Still, best shoe ever. I'm a size 9 too...doh.

If Rev. only put out the GB records I'd still pick them as the winner. Once you factor in Texas is the Reason and Quicksand I don't even understand how their could be an argument. Early-Victory put out some solid records, but I think Rev's discography will be held to a higher standard down the line...especially since Victory has become a joke.
