  1. You shouldn't need an internet connection really for anything. It is all self contained on the HD. Games and media can be transferred to it via a crossover cable and FTP. Once they are on your xbox though, you are good to go.
  2. mine too (before it got stolen.. :-\). but i used it to watch movies all the time, xbmc was the shit
  3. Well hell, that's totally news to me. Consider myself served! I believe its all the victory represses that have the big VICTORY RECORDS on the labels
  4. Trade you for Park...hand numbered /100 and stamped!
  5. See, I'm the opposite way; I'd rather know I paid for a record as soon as I pre-ordered it, that way I won't have a surprise charge show up on my bank/credit card statement. Same here. I keep track of my budget and money, but it's annoying to have to remember that you really have X amount less, due to something you haven't been charged yet. I also agree on the "wish list" kind of things. If there's something I want to order, but know there's something I want coming out in the next few days, I'd rather wait to order them together and save on shipping. It can be hard to remember what's out already and what isn't available yet for PO sometimes.
  6. Hm I think I ordered this from Drive Thru, not West Aspen, and received it not long after. But I have dealt with WA before and haven't had any problems. At least you got it though!
  7. I agree. Especially since you have it on a list, you obviously had internet access at the time, and you can just do a 'find' for it. As for this particular situation, the seller is doing good by offering to refund. I think he's entitled to complain about it. I would, if I just made $23 then the next minute, I didn't. The buyer is also doing his part to help the situation by not insisting a refund or acting like a dick. Just my 2 cents
  8. with everything set to 0 (the tracking force & bias slider), the weight should be moved so the stylus is jusstttt floating above the record, without touching it. so you're going to need to either put it back in, or wait until your new stylus arrives to see. or go off the assumption that the stylus doesnt really extend more than about 1 mm past the tonearm anyway. but anyway, thats how you can determine the proper weight (if its needed at all)
  9. damn..I saw "SALE: A3.." and that the thread was started by you...and got extremely excited. but unfortunately its nothing I need :-\ good luck though
  10. i guess you have to be sure you have that original cartridge, first. the counterweight is important. you should try putting a record on on the table and moving the tonearm onto it. if the arm comes down heavy on the record then you definitely want to find that counterweight, or it will wear down your new stylus quickly since there is too much weight on it (and it might distort the sound, not sure though) good luck
  11. It is kind of a pain in the ass to change on the rega. Not really difficult, just annoying. Especially with the glass platter, which is why I rarely listen to 45s. Also, I feel like everytime I adjust the belt back and forth it wears it down, since its being stretched out. The belt I have now I've had for about 5 months and already seems like its taking longer to start up
  12. How did they even manage to make a double lp out of 8 tracks?
  13. I guess this can be brought up again...Alkaline Trio - s/t is missing Exploding Boy .. thats for legal reasons, though (presumably)
  14. this the only tape I have is an alk3 one from 97.. its like a demo tape. fuck man you have that? when i saw that thursday/envy was being released on cassette i did a double take. i guess its the 'thing' right now
  15. is there a benefit to doing this? I only do that for records that give me a hardtime when it comes time to put them back, so instead of fighting i leave it outside the sleeve. i suppose it reduces ringwear, but if you store your records with enough room between each other, that shouldn't really be an issue
  16. I recall someone posting that too, was it someone who worked at AMR?
