mayatex reacted to djghost1976 in Kendrick Lamar - untitled unmastered.
Yeah - I'm pretty sure in the email confirmation, there's a link to the download page.

Disney is doing a real great job of making me sick of Star Wars months before the movie even comes out.

mayatex got a reaction from swemoll in Copeland - IXORA - NEW LP
Haven't signed in a long time, but I did today to say thank you for this!
I really enjoyed this album and am enjoying this mix.

mayatex reacted to swemoll in Copeland - IXORA - NEW LP
Finally getting around to bouncing this whole album, then I'll be uploading it tonight. Sorry about the delay but work is work and play is...not paid.

mayatex reacted to swemoll in Copeland - IXORA - NEW LP
Okay, here it is! I have a couple of notes to make about the mix, if anyone is interested. If you at any point feel like it's tl;dr please jump to the bottom of this post for the link.
- For each song, I chose a specific version which I personally liked better. This often was the Ixora version, except or a couple like Erase. If anyone wants track specifics like levels, just let me know and I can look them up in Pro Tools.
- There is ZERO post-processing to ANY of the tracks. There is only major track leveling done. NO automation, NO EQ or compression. Ultimately, the best way to merge these two albums is the quadraphonic way like Beta114 has done, but this is the best way I could hear in stereo without a full re-mix/master of this album as a whole.
- Each track is pushed to its own -0.1 or -0.3 limit, after leveling and keeping relative deciBel ratios.
- This was done in Pro Tools with WAV files sourced from each CD. Each song was matched up to the sample to match in timing (the only reason why this is worth listening to), except for one of the tracks, which I moved the Twin version up about 50 samples (out of 44.1k in a second) to match better in timing. Other than that, everything is exactly how Aaron would have wanted it.
- Everyone should try to listen in Quadraphonic, as this is the best way to take in this experience. Not as off-putting, and just as beautiful (more so).
Without further ado:

mayatex got a reaction from patreeeek in The Mondo Records Thread - You think limited? Will sell fast?
done. I got both, but I'm still feel uneasy about it. I'm supposed to be saving up for an engagement ring. I figured I'll just pass on a couple of buys for a while to justify.

mayatex reacted to Princess Logan in PO: The Early November - The Mother, The Mechanic, and the Path
Honestly, they're probably going to come out with another pressing of this. BMT, YAMS, and EIT are highly sought after and haven't had any recent represses. I don't think anyone would consider trading for this.

Represses are in the works for copelands back catalog

It's your record, do as you wish with it...should probably wait until you have it in hand to try to trade it though
-
mayatex reacted to The Saint in PO: The Early November - The Mother, The Mechanic, and the Path
Fine if you want to trade it, but what you have in mind to ask for is a bit steep.

This is what I was getting at, you worded it a bit better!

mayatex got a reaction from pushbacktosquare in Into It. Over It. - Intersections - 9/24
From the Lawrence show:
TWIABP:
- 3/4 shirts $15 each
- crewneck? maybe not really sure but i think it was $30
- S/T LP $15
- Deer Leap LP $10, but they only had three left and I bought one so who knows if they still have them
- Formlessness/Josh is Dead 7" $5 each
Into It. Over It:
- 4/5 shirts $15 each (including a really hilarious peanuts shirt that I think everybody in this forum should own)
- multiple LPs $15 (I didn't notice a tour exclusive, but i didn't ask either so...)
- topshelf book with 7" $?
AGBPOL
- LP $15
- Shirt $?
* As you can see I spent much more time at the TWIABP table then Into It. Over It. or AGBPOL.
Hope this helps!

definitely go for the shure, as they even have a 2 year warranty on all of their needles/carts. if you send in a broken needle or cart with receipt, they'll ship you out a new one for free.

If you are in the US then Shure or Audio Technica will probabaly be your best bet in that price range and of the two I would go Shure as jase suggested.

Yes they were. I actually got a copy! It was pink.
Unfortunately, all I know is the color of Proper which was pink.
Ya no worries!

It's not as daunting as it may first seem. There are a lot of videos on YouTube to help. I'd highly recommend getting some mini screwdrivers and a set of small, long nosed pliers.

Oh and also, get a strong magnet. And put it close to all your new small tools. Leave it for a few days and they'll now be magnetised too.
It really helps a lot with the fiddly things

I'd also think about the shure m97xe.
I use it, and it suits my taste well. In the sense that it's a very even cart. It doesn't boost anything and leaves you with just the music as it was recorded.
It's a little above the $60 range, but not by much. And it comes with it's own tools and alignment guide too. So that helps setup

I confirmed that the message was received immediately following my announcement. There were nearly a dozen messages received in a 5 second window. It was insane, and I have you all to thank for it.
