  1. Good to someone else interested in these on here. Artoffact has been releasing a lot of Skinny Puppy related stuff (cEvin's solo records and most of Download's non-Nettwerk releases) all of which I've been picking up.

cEvin key posted the mock-up of the Cyberaktif splatter pressing last week on Facebook and I've been anxiously awaiting a preorder but the Doubting Thomas release took me by surprise when they announced it this morning. I'm happy to see that they are both "complete" collections (though the DT record is missing some compilation tracks). The Infidel was one of my favorite records when I was a teenager so I'm pretty stoked to be getting a vinyl pressing.

I ordered the /100 pressings of both. Also threw in the Metropolis pressings of KMFDM's Symbols and Tear Garden's Have A Nice Trip that Storming The Base is carrying.

  2. I'll be ordering the Vinyl Me, Please edition of Odelay, have the euro pressing of Guero on the way and will be keeping my MFSL Sea Change, so nothing for me here but I certainly hope that they continue on and give us reissues of the rest of his albums. I'd love to have Mutations and The Information and would certainly pick up Midnite Vultures for completeness sake though I don't particularly care for it.

    Hurrah!

I got my purple in from Bullmoose - haven't had a chance to listen yet but it sure is pretty. Awesome gatefold with lyrics printed inside. And it didn't come with the bonus cd, I'm assuming you meant all copies ordered from Rough Trade come with the cd?

Yes, I apologize if I didn't make that clear. The bonus CD is a RT exclusive.

I'm still waiting to receive my copy from RT which shipped 8/30. I am assuming it will take a while to makes it's way from the UK to the US.

  4. There's also the Rough Trade exclusive /600 on white vinyl with a bonus CD of demos and alternate versions of songs from the album, which is what I have preordered.

If you plan on ordering this version, make sure to buy the "LP+" version. "LP" is the purple indie exclusive and "LP+MP3" is standard black vinyl, though all copies should include the bonus CD.

  5. Acoustic Sounds doesn't mention it but I believe this will also have the bonus track "The Puffer", which is being touted as an unreleased track but seems to have been issued as the b-side to the Hell 7".

This is a great album. I have the original and likely won't be picking this reissue up just for the bonus track but it's great to see it getting pressed again. Hopefully they reissue the rest of the bands catalog.

  6. I didn't think the original mock-up looked that great nor do I think the final product looks that great. I didn't buy this for the color of the vinyl though.

Looking at the color they ended up with versus the color scheme on the standard press cover, it seems possible that this was a planned variant at one point that was supposed to be cancelled.

  7. Indie Vinyl Den just blew me away with a great experience.

There was a small snafu that ended up with a delay in shipping one of 3 records I pre-ordered from them and not receiving a shipping confirmation for another. Customer service immediately confirmed shipping and provided a confirmation number for one item and shipped out the other with expedited shipping and some substantial freebies. All 3 records were packed in sturdy mailers as well. Every email I sent was responded to within an hour, even when emailing at 8PM PST.

    I'm impressed.
