  1. Not technically a vinyl question, but worth a shot . . .

So, I got the Brand New / Safety in Numbers for $4 in a used bin about eight years ago. As a bonus (or so I think), it appears to be signed by someone in blue pen in the upper left hand corner. I can't read it and t doesn't look like any of the signatures I've seen on Brand New stuff (though it bears a passing resemblence to some Garrett Tierney signatures I've seen), so maybe it's a Safety in Numbers member, or maybe its just a skribble, though I tend to doubt it. Anyone have any thoughts on who or what this might be?

  2. They have a quarterly (or so) record show in St. Louis I go to.  It was great when I was building my collection, but, like others have noted, it has gotten less useful as time goes on, though on one visit I bought Electro-Shock Blues and New Adventures in Hi-Fi for a total of $40 from the same guy, so I keep going hoping he'll show up again with more absurdly low priced gems.  No luck . . .

  3. Only been to about five of these, but I travel for work, so hoping to scratch off some more (though the foreign ones are pretty unlikely).

Thumbs down on Forever Young - I spent a serious amount of time there there one time I was there and while I found a couple nice things, it doesn't even make my top twenty record stores experiences, the prices are unreasonble, and the staff always struck me as the least knowlegable/involved that I've encountered.

I've always used this list as the one I really want to get through, thought it's a little out of date - http://www.rollingstone.com/music/pictures/the-best-record-stores-in-the-usa-20100916
