  1. Cool. I haven't been there yet but I've passed by their storefront. I'll probably just make a random decision.
  2. The limited bundles have totally sold out. Looks like they put up standard black copies.
  3. Anyone have any suggestions for the best store in Portland OR? I'm relatively new to the city and haven't attended a store here on RSD yet. I've been to some of the bigger stores like Everyday and Music Millennium. Are those going to be the best bet for a good selection and quantity of RSD releases?
  4. I couldn't tell by Graveface's email whether it's actually limited to only 200 or if they were just selling 200 copies online and more would be available in stores.
  5. I don't get it. Looking at the description it still looks like the only thing that separates it from the indie version is the lyric book. That makes zero sense. Why would they limit the lyric book of all things? I'll just wait it out and hopefully this thing surprises me.
  6. Oh yeah, it must have sold out right when I was re-posting that link. It was showing available for me also. Yeah, 300 copies of the RSD version will go up in the GF store on Saturday.
  7. The link was posted on the last page http://www.graveface.com/grave115.html?mc_cid=b84023c7f1&mc_eid=8b6227004b
  8. Oh man, I gotta snag one of those KS copies when they go up. The RC hand pours are beautiful and all but I like the simplicity of this variant. It's perfectly matched to the cover art. I was hoping that I would end up with the RC edition before my subscription ran out but no such luck.
  9. I've always really liked White Lung and these new songs sound great. More than anything, I think I've always been more infatuated with Kenneth William's guitar work than anything else...the dude is so good. The guy had to of really loved Pretty Girls Make Graves. His playing reminds me so much of the New Romance.
  10. Looks like there is like 18 copies of the blue version back up in the EITS store.
  11. Man, I remember when I could have bought a copy of Go Tell Fire from In Vinyl We Trust years ago. It was dirt cheap and I thought it would be around for a long time. Regret that shit.
  12. I don't really get it. I have a feeling these product descriptions will change a few more times before it releases. Seems strange that would be the limited packaging. I don't really care...just ready to hear this entire thing. I wish the special packaging was an extra copy of Go Tell Fire...
  13. I wasn't referring to the 12" that you purchased. I'm referring to the "extra special packaging" on the full length 2xLP. Rough Trade updated the description to reveal that it comes with a lyric book.
  14. Rough Trade updated the description on their exclusive version. It appears that it comes with an extra lyric booklet.
  15. I feel like this will definitely catch a decent amount of buzz simply because of the WU LYF exposure. This is the type of stuff that will end up on a ton of best off lists but still somehow never really take off. I could be wrong. Hope I'm wrong. I'd love to see this take off...I think it's going to be REALLY good.
  16. I received my copy of this from Bullmoose today. It is definitely that transparent orange "gold" color and not the actual opaque gold tone. It really goes pretty well with the album art. Overall it's a really beautiful package with a nice, high quality gatefold. Because Bullmoose is awesome, it arrived in pristine condition also! Can't wait to spin this here in a little while.
  17. This is what the guy from RT had to say....not much info to really base an opinion. "Sorry to not be of more help, but, we haven't been told exactly what the 'extra special packaging' is yet, but we have have been assured by the label that it'll be worth the wait! If you'd like to hold off on the order until we find out what it is I'm sure we'll be putting a more detailed description on the website when we know."
  18. LUH (which stands for Lost Under Heaven) is Ellery Roberts and Ebony Hoorn. Over the past two years, they have been releasing music, art, photography, film and manifestos into the world, including 2014's 'Unites' video and the expansive 'Lost Under Heaven' music and artwork package at the end of last year. Ellery's name might be familiar as the frontman of WU LYF, whose raw and primal voice helped create a sound that shaped a new model for the untamed fury of youth. Ebony is an audio-visual artist based in Amsterdam, where the pair now live, and co-directed the new video with Florian Joahn. 'Spiritual Songs For Lovers To Sing' is the pair's debut album and was produced by The Haxan Cloak (known for his own genre-bending experimental compositions and work on Bjork's Vulnicura album) in 2015 on the remote island of Osea. Here is the link to the official pre-order page but there are other places to order from if you search http://www.mutebank.co.uk/mutebank/mutebank/Spiritual-Songs-for-Lovers-to-Sing-Black-White-Vinyl/54EQ0000000 Rough Trade has an exclusive version limited to 350 with "Extra Special Packaging" that is still available http://www.roughtrade.com/albums/101943
  19. Yeah, this release is gorgeous. I love everything about it. The cover has the look and feel of a faux leather or something like that.
  20. Looks like they put mock-up pictures of the different variants online if anyone is interested.
  21. Oh yeah, that's right! I totally forgot they moved that Vinyl Renaissance store. Yeah, that store in Overland Park used to be across town in the Shawnee/Mission area but they relocated a couple years ago. They are a great shop for equipment and repairs but their record selection isn't the greatest. They have 3 different locations....2 of them on the MO side. There are a handful of great neighborhoods on the MO side that you might enjoy living. Check out the Brookside, Waldo, Westport, and River Market areas...those are some of my favorite areas.
  22. Yeah, Mills Record Co, Love Garden and Josey are probably going to be your best bet. They are all larger stores with a wide range of things to choose from. I would just start there and then check out some of the other stores also. I grew up in KC and relocated out to Portland, OR about 4 months ago. I miss all these old places but Portland has plenty of new options to keep me busy. Happy hunting in KC. What area are you moving to? I noticed you mentioned Overland Park in your title....you will not find any record stores in that area.
  23. Not sure if it was mentioned yet but there are new color pressings of Abyss available. 1,000 each of both clear and clear blue.
  24. Mannnn....I wish I would have never saw that it went back up. I figured this was going to happen. Sorry folks. The annoying thing is, I could of held off and grabbed a black on the cheap when someone runs a great sell. So annoying.
