1. Well that may be true (given this was a long time ago and my memory is admittedly foggy), but that is still corny as get out. The funniest thing about this whole record and thread is that many of the people posting in this saying they want this record were pissed (rightfully) at the whole debacle that the kickstarter campaign was. Funny how a few promises quiet them.
 2. If you think that the drums sound decent whatsoever you are fooling yourself. Dead snare and toms along with a clicky bass drum, yes please! As for the triggers, I haven't kept up on this bands lineup, but when I saw them more than five years ago, their drummer at the time definitely used triggers in a live setting at a show in a firehall. What a joke. I have no idea why after putting out out only one record (excluding the newest obviously) why this band has such a fanatic following.
 3. So, where's the explanation of why this record sounds horrible? Beyond the music itself, of course.
 4. I would never give these flakes a single dime. Oh yeah and they're terrible, but y'know.
 5. I think to 500. Anyone know what plant they use? Their albums on color are some of the very few these days that look really nice. Anyone pick up the Beyond the Black Rainbow VHS that went up yesterday? I really wanted it, but when I saw they were charging $7 to ship that too, I said 'no thanks'. Close to $30 is one thing for a record that I really want, but for a VHS tape? No thanks.
 6. My copy arrived this morning, which is pretty damn awesome. It's on black which is mildly disappointing (as Mondo's stuff actually looks nice on color as opposed to overdone GZ splatter bullshit), but it sounds great and the packaging is really nice. The tracks are awesome (but those who have seen the flick know this already). All in all, an awesome package for sure.
 7. There was a thread on vlv in the past few weeks about this.
 8. I have read on other boards that sending records to Germany has been taking obscenely long lately. No clue.
 9. I really want to see that flick, I'm sure it's awesome since Death Waltz is releasing the OST. That said, I won't pick it up until I see the movie first.
 10. For my money, Death Waltz because they reissued Halloween III and their stuff is far easier to get a hold of. Mondo is no slouch though. Really curious to see what both sides have up their sleeves for this year.
 11. You've cleared up all of my curiosities, dude. I've just never thought of buying records that way myself.
12. I wasn't arguing with anyone, I was just asking dude a question. Some folks on here sure are touchy.
 13.

Who said anything about not wanting them buddy?

You said yourself that you mostly buy them for the art and novelty. If I'm blind buying I never go by the art because you end up buying Meatloaf's Bat out of Hell and expect it to be a metal record, then you are left sorely disappointed. $27 is steep for liking the artwork/novelty of it. Just a legitimate question because it interests me when people buy records using different justifications than I do.
 14.

so is anyone a fan of the movie or soundtrack or is everyone buying it because it's mondo?

I love this flick so it was natural to buy the soundtrack. I imagine most will buy it since it's Mondo.
 15.

Anyone heard pressing numbers on the new LP?

Probably 1500 just like The Beyond.
 16. I was able to snag a copy of The Beyond from them rather easily. I ended up with a color copy too which is absolutely gorgeous. I think there was what 1,500 of those? They lasted around an hour or two which isn't too bad considering how the posters sell out instantly. I think a decent amount made it into distros as well. I really wish I had known about the Maniac re-press when that went up ages ago. Glad to have seen this bumped so I was able to grab a copy of The Deadly Spawn!
 17. I deal with it typically since mailers and tape cost money. Unless it's egregious a recent example being a dude in the States charged me $7 to ship one record media mail in a used mailer. That's pretty lame. But if the cost of the record is worth it in the end, I can handle it.
 18. Wish our friend here would step back from that ledge though. I'm getting worried.
