counterfiction Posted April 28, 2008 Share Posted April 28, 2008 Some of you might care: We're very pleased to announce that Coldplay's new single, 'Violet Hill', will be available as a free download exclusively from Coldplay.com for one week starting tomorrow, Tuesday April 29th, at 12.15pm UK time. This is a full week ahead of the single's conventional paid-for digital release, on Tuesday May 6th. Then, on Wednesday May 7th, there will be a free limited edition 7-inch vinyl of 'Violet Hill' on the cover of NME magazine, backed by the exclusive B-side, 'A Spell A Rebel Yell'. NME never attached 7-inches to the U.S. version that sits on store shelves. Even if you subscribe to the magazine you won't get it. I'm almost 100% positive on this, but I could be wrong. Last year I wanted a Baby Shambles 7" that came w/ the magazine, but couldn't track it down. I enjoy NME, I find so much good British music thanks to it.
