Any reason why these particular albums?
GHOSTDRONES
Really except for the Cream record (which lies between the more straight forward Strange Brew and the more out there Wheels Of Fire though no studio Cream is bad) they are the only albums that Clapton did with the personnel on those albums. Blind Faith is a laid back blues-y pop Derek & the Dominoes has some of the most amazing slide guitar ever played by a white man (courtesy of Duane Allman). The Blues Breakers contains Clapton's "God" phase blues purism.
laralaurent
Layla is one of my favorite albums. Blues blues blues. Recently read Clapton's autobiography and it is sensational in parts, but it mostly is an anthology on blues artists and music. Easy read. somethingvinyl
Not a big fan of his solo stuff but that whole Derek and The Dominoes record is really good. He paid for Howlin' Wolf's grave.I'm sure he's a genuine fan of blues, but there's better blues guys.
pamfletty
Crossroads is a really good starting point, all the hits and greats from his various groups: http://www.discogs.com/Eric-Clapton-Crossroads/master/85141

amnstypls
I may be alone here, but I really like his 90's stuff. Songs like "Change the World," "My Father's Eyes," and "Cryin" are all very poppy and catchy but still have guitar work. I'd suggest listening to the Pilgrim album.
