Definitely a noisy record, in that you hear it the second you put the needle down, BUT it's a loud enough album (no real quiet parts) with great production so I don't really notice it once the music kicks in. It's my first GID and I'm totally happy with it! I can't comment on the sound quality though, because my receiver is taking a shit and dying right now, so everything sounds like garbage.
