hyperinactive
is that more bands are going to start touring less and less. i really feel like this is the saddest part of gas prices being so high.
ronniethebear
I never considered this, but it's a very credible concern.

hyperinactive
i think a lot of bands will start using veggie oil. already a lot of bands dont tour much because it is too expensive. skyrocketing gas prices are just going to make touring impossible for bands that cant draw in a high guarantee. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
is that more bands are going to start touring less and less. i really feel like this is the saddest part of gas prices being so high. how is that a bad thing?! thats far from the worst part of rising gas prices. sgoodcore
The crux of a veggie oil fan is two-fold. First thing, you need a diesel fan. Second you need to find the veggie oil and invest in all the required equipment to make the oil combustible. Its not easy or simple. But its a good way to go. ericheartsu
id really like to try it out. but we will see!
ericheartsu
also, not only are less bands going to be touring, but merch, as well as records, and door prices will be going way up too.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
yeah but the money you're saving on going to less shows can go towards the increased costs of merch and shows. it'll all pan out fine. less bad punk/hardcore/emo/indie/fashion bands touring the better. the scene is just too fucking oversaturated by bands who think that they'll make it, I hope this summer weeds out all the wastes of bands. sewbr0
im thinking about selling my volvo ('83 240 series wagon, forest green with a tan leather interior, fuck i love my car) and trying to find an older diesel one. i now they made some diesel wagons. while i was staying at piebalds managers house we were talking about it. it convinced me. plus with the trunk / back space i have, it wouldnt be a problem at all. chaps
I for one plan on buying a 89-91 honda crx for about 1000 dollars and getting 45-50 miles to the gallon.
sewbr0
milage shouldn't be THAT much of a concern while buying a used car. I say that knowing none of us here drive or are going to buy hummers or yukons. You should get something you enjoy driving and are comfortable in. You wouldn't buy a house based on what utilites would be (a house youd live in more than 5 years, not a semester).
