lilmuse
Just come to Richmond! We have many great record stores (Deep Groove, Steady Sounds, Vinyl Conflict, Plan 9) and dozens of amazing restaurants (Roosevelt and Saison are person favorites). Saison's chicken biscuit sandwich! Ruined all others forever for me.
Fowty Dollaz
All true. Go in the summer or on a break when there aren't as many students. Bars are less crowded, easier to get around, and the locals come out to play. There are some really awesome people in AthensAll of this true. I grew up there and can only say good things.Big fan of the Taco Stand, the Grill, and the Grit for food. But I grew up "on a budget," so there are definitely fancier places to eat. Anywhere you end up, have fun!

Plarocks
Head to Sound Garden in Fell's Point (Baltimore.) Almost all the new vinyl is priced below what they sell for on the internet, and you don't have to pay for shipping. They also have a ton of CDs and movies, if one of you is into those sort of things. Go to Sorrento's of Arbutis for pizza. You won't be disappointed. lilmuse
Fuckin A right! I want a gallon of their hot sauce. Did you go to Steady Sounds on RSD? They were giving them away. I can't imagine a finer way to wait in line.
AllFuzzedOut
Best record shopping city on the east coast is Baltimore, hands down. Plus great food. This. Celebrated Summer is the best record store ever. Then go to the BBQ place and Coffee place around the block. Then go to the Outsider Art Museum. I can't imagine a finer way to wait in line. I didn't go until the afternoon, so no free sandwich for me. OP, forget records. Come here and get a chicken biscuit at Saison. lilmuse
