Both are now complete, (minus the Pelican DVDs and CDs, which will be up later). the Pelican link is available @Pelican's myspace page and the Coalesce will be up when the restructuring of crashandbang.com is complete, 2-3 weeks.All pics shown contain the pressing info, if available, and are as detailed as possible. ohiopride Posted June 14, 2008 Author Share Posted June 14, 2008 the coalesce collection is out of control. nice job cataloging the works of one of my favorite bands ever.thanks bro, they are my favorite band of all time, great fuckin' dudes as well. sean has helped me out and hooked me up with vinyl i never would have found. i owe that dude a lot. respect! on the record store front, i was talking to a friend about some real estate questions i had and asked her what she would suggest i do. she told me right now the market is in almost crisis mode and she advised me to not purchase or attempt to purchase any building or land, foreclosures are at all time highs and interest rates are out of control. she told me to just do it from home right now. no rent, no extra taxes. it sucks, but she knows what she's talking about and i trust her. i guess i will set up a store via ebay. i was going to do that a little while ago, but got busy with these discographies and looking for a building, so i completely forgot to do it. so that's the update. thanks for all the comments guys it is greatly appreciated. i will be putting out a compilation sometime this summer called "THE HEART OF IT ALL vol.1" it will be a compilation of ohio bands, mainly Cincinnati bands right now, but if all goes well, i will continue to put them out. all the packages will be die cut in the shape of Ohio, all jackets, booklets and such will be hand cut and painted and i will also do all the artwork. i'm shooting for an early august release. it will be a 1st, and maybe only, pressing on cd-rs limited to 200 copies. broken down into 25 copies called "THE FRIEND PRESSING" and 175 as the standard pressing. all hand numbered and such. friend pressings will be made special for the individual, so they will not look the same. i will keep virgil and everyone on the board updated. oh, and they will be FREE. no charge. so when they are ready i will make a post and if you want one, let me know and i will send it to you. thanks guysjoe Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

cosmonaut Posted June 16, 2008 Share Posted June 16, 2008 the final press of "functioning" is one of my favorite looking records to date. the packaging and vinyl is just awesome. the whole vinyl packaging of 'functioning on impatience' reminds me of why i love the vinyl format. so much thought and effort went into making that record look good - the blurry printed cover, the transparent overlay, the vinyl color (mine is minty green).
