monk0nuggets
So I just downloaded the EP from my vinyl purchase. It's damn good, but it just makes me miss Rage that much more.
scottheisel
Yeah, this EP is pretty killer, I played it a half-dozen times today. The first track is probably the best, though.
bicyclepirate
I was hoping for a return to the Inside Out sound, but this is pretty good stuff. sadly, I don't think that will ever happen. This is a serious question, I don't mean to be sarcastic, but did anyone like Inside Out before RATM?
momentumlost
im checking it all out right now...give me like 30 min and all form a real opinion..but right now its..it smissing something...like a better low-end...needs more bass.
kurtz
I like it, but it would be much better with more instrumentation. The songs all feel like they are only half finished with just the keyboard and drums.
sgoodcore
This EP is pretty darn good with the last and first tracks being the standouts after a first listen.
momentumlost
ok..so i checked out the ep. its OK @ best. i really think if it wasnt zack i wouldnt give a shit. its sub-par @ best...it needs instrumentation like woah. i kinda feel its just unfinished... it just makes me want a new rage album...bah. jaime
"ocean view" is my favorite. i'll admit, i did expect more coming from these two, but I do still enjoy it.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
i think what makes it great is the lack of instrumentation. just drums, keys and some effect-laced guitar with his lyrics. keeping it simple, keeping the focus on what he's saying instead of the sounds that drown it out. I'm glad rage broke up when they did, before they released some god awful album that tarnished their image and what they stood for. I am glad that, lyrically, this group is a continuation of what Rage was, for the most part. And perfect timing with the coming election for this to come out. I wonder how huge this will get in the coming months

I wonder how huge this will get in the coming months I think you and I pretty much agree completely. Though I doubt RATM would have put out an album that would have been bad. I think they brought up more out of frustration with each other than anything. I just have this feeling De La Rocha will never run out of things to say well. andrew13
didn't they play some shows a while back? kinda got my hopes up.
sgoodcore
They've been playing shows but I know Tom Morello seems to be doing his own thing and so does Zach so I'm not sure they'll be getting in the studio any time soon but I, like you, have my fingers and toes crossed.
