Also, I'm gonna go ahead and be the dork on the internet that comments about the pointless shit... there's no way any kid his age could know how to operate that camera. No meter, all exposure settings are set manually. You have to cock the shutter and wind the film seperate from one another, which is difficult for most adults to remember each time. It uses hyperfocal focusing. That is, you don't see the effects of focusing in the viewfinder, you have to approximate how far the subject is from the lens and set the lens appropriately. Folders (that's the type of camera the kid had, notice the bellows) are extremely finnicky and take forever to operate, even when you're used to using it.
