minty
Looks like some dude has swapped a record over from each colour and has claimed it's OOP and rare, when they are actually both still in print. http://cgi.ebay.com/Lawrence-Arms-Cocktails-Dreams-12-Red-Black-OOP-nofx_W0QQitemZ260270226157QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item260270226157&_trkparms=72%3A635|39%3A1|66%3A4|65%3A12&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14.l1318 Genius! suburbanargyle
I was wondering why that was red / black...never saw that option when I bought it haha.

minty
to me it doesn´t look like he wants to make a buck off it...maybe AM fucked up some orders or so....who knows.... I don't think that would actually be possible, swapping 2 records over by accident, but you never know... I love how people always put "Rare OOP" on every auction, even though you can readily buy it from AMR still.
lechevre
I hate when these auctions like this come up and I still haven't gotten my pre-order. Fuck USPS.
mattramone
I love how people always put "Rare OOP" on every auction It's as useless a product description as "near mint"
hickey
It could've happened at the plant, but I'm skeptical nonetheless.
bouncingsoles123
I got the same thing with a slip that says /10 300 dollars to whoever wants it.
lechevre
Shit, $299 was my limit.
adamlikesmusic
I remember that Burntwolf guy did the exact same thing with Against Me!'s "Searching For A Former Clarity" last year. He sold a "rare mispress" with both records on black vinyl. Then a month later, he sold another "rare mispress" with both records on white. Fuckin' douche. dante3000
This is bullshit. Asian Man didn't make this mistake because the records were packaged and sealed at the plant (pirates press). Additionally, they were pressed (as both of the vinyl are the same color) at the same time. One would be more likely to get a red/black 50/50 than one red and one black. dynamitekid
I did this same thing but with my girlfriend. We just couldn't decide which color we wanted. so we traded LP2's.
adamlikesmusic
^ But you're not trying to profit off of it.

don
Wouldn't pictures of the etching numbers or whatever prove that they are of the same press or not?
minty
Wouldn't pictures of the etching numbers or whatever prove that they are of the same press or not? They are the same press, but even if they weren't, the etching wouldn't change until new stampers are cut. These copies are supposed to be all red or all black, not 1 of each. leshokkills
Well if he got that shrinkwrapped like that than the pressing plant messed up when they were packing the records. Or he just got 1 of each color and did a switcheroo. either way it doesn't make it any rarer or limited since both colors had the same number of copies pressed. just find the exact opposite packing (black vinyl a side, red vinyl c side), the seller might conveniently have that one as well
