gravitylovesdrunks
i always forget what albums came out this year. good calls on matt pryor and bridge and tunnel. the raveonettes- lust lust lust. came out in '07 UK style but was released this year in north america. algernon cadwallader gotta also mention make believe- going to the bone church, because "just green enough" is one of my favourite songs of '08 (the rest of the album is pretty forgettable though) also, the cure's 'dream 13' is and has been my most anticipated of '08. it's gonna be awesome. putodinero
The 4 venerea songs should be put on a 7", mp3 donwload only kinda sucks right, but i'm glad too see venerea is back
paal
yes i'm glad too, but i don't really like these new songs, except for one...I think they're a bit enemy alliance look-a-like and that means anden is on the vocals, which i don't dig... I was hoping that mike took care of the vocals, his voice is amazing and gives venerea the venerea sound. But still glad that they're back
kirbypuckett
I think it's been a pretty mediocre year. The only great records I can think of off the top of my head are: Vampire Weekend - Vampire Weekend The Hold Steady - Stay Positive The majority of Santogold's debut is great, but there's some fluff in there too. Almost all of the 'punk' records released this year have been huge disappointments. The Gaslight Anthem and Loved Ones records are the two biggest letdowns ever. I can't remember a single track off of records by Paint it Black or A Wilhelm Scream either.
mediocore
Best record of the year = "Stay Positive" (The new Death Cab, Bob Mould, and Lagwagon were good too.) Biggest disappointment = Weezer
john
Biggest disappointment = Weezer who didn't see that coming a mile away?
allagespete
Biggest disappointment = Weezer who didn't see that coming a mile away? I wasn't hoping for it to their best album or anything, but I was really let down by that album.

mediocore
Biggest disappointment = Weezer who didn't see that coming a mile away? I wasn't expecting anything groundbreaking, but I was at least expecting a decently solid album.
kirbypuckett
Take the crappy tracks suck by Pat, Brian, and Scott and replace them w/ your favorite bonus tracks and The Red Album is pretty good. Dreamin' is great.
