Arrested Development vs. Always Sunny in Philly

Recommended Posts

I catch AD every so often on CBC after the Simpsons at 5 and I really can't get into it. I don't know if I haven't seen enough of it, or what, but I kind of get annoyed watching it.

You really need to watch it from the beginning. It's so character-driven that if you see shit out of context it probably won't be as funny.

You can kinda say the same thing about Sunny too. When Dennis was wearing the duster this season, i forgot about the introduction of that and was missing out on that whole joke.

Like a lot of people are saying, this is really apples and oranges. I still haven't watched AD in its entirety and it is an amazing show. It's a hard choice but I think I'm giving the edge to Philly because I've seen pretty much every episode (except the last two. I've been busy...am gonna play catch up this weekend) and because I always gotta rep the city that shoves you back as Paint It Black puts it. Hometown pride.

Is there anything PIB doesn't decide for you?

Haha...I don't know. I pretty much only said it because I was listening to "Four Deadly Venoms" where the line about "welcome to the city that shoves you back" is from. I do whatever Dan Yemin tells me to.

1.) Toil

2.) Consume

3.) Reproduce

4.) Repeat until numb

(And now, the fine print): "Awake" is obsolete.

Just follow instructions and your life's complete.

It's not as hard as you thought it would be...
