dante3000
Sucks for you! From Myspace: What's Up, Punks? Our friends at Space 1026 are holding their annual art auction tomorrow night and while it's always the independent art event of the season, this year's is of particular significance to the friends and frienemies of Paint It Black, as there is a copy of what we believe to be the RAREST piece of vinyl in our history, in fact, it's actually so rare you might not even know it EXISTED. Back in January, you may have attended our record release weekend for "New Lexicon", and in particular you may have attended the Sunday show where we gave away the "Goliath" 7"s. Those records were screened by the fine folks at 1026, and for one reason or another, there ended up being an extremely small amount that were screened with lavender ink, instead of black. There are only SEVEN COPIES IN EXISTENCE and the only one ever slightly available to the public is this one right here which will be auctioned off tomorrow night. So we encourage you to empty your pockets and know it all goes to a fantastic cause: "Space1026 Art Auction Friday, December 12th, at 7PM @ 1026 Arch St, 2nd Floor, Philadelphia, PA Need awesome (and affordable!) gifts for people... or yourself? Come warm up with some good eats, Kenzinger, and an in-house art auction at Space1026's Annual Art Auction. Admission is free, and the bidding starts at $5 for every item (some of this stuff is worth upwards of $500). You can also come by any time this week and check out most of the works that will be available this Friday. We're open as long as someone is here, so if you come by anytime between 12PM-12AM, ring the bell and someone will let you in. Here's a decent look at some of the stuff we have up, already: http://space1026. com/space. php?action=event_detail&showID=142 There will be artwork and other items available in-house and online from the likes of Shepard Fairey (OBEY), Andrew Jeffrey Wright, Adam Wallacavage, Paint It Black, Vampire Weekend, Matt Leines, Caleb Neelon, Snax, Alex Lukas, Bill McRight, Mark Price, Megawords, and a whole bunch more. We've also already started our eBay auction, and will be adding more items throughout the week: http://shop. ebay. com/merchant/space1026er_W0QQ_nkwZQQ_armrsZ1QQ_fromZQQ_mdoZ Included later this week, we'll be posting the Paint it Black - Goliath 7" [in Lavender, 1 of 7] and the Vampire Weekend - S/T 7" [their very first release]. And artists - We're still accepting donations, and will be accepting them up until the auction begins. http://space1026. com/space. php?action=events&num=223" Go to this, and then go to the Amateur Party record release show at Circle Of Hope! See you there... Love, PAINT IT BLACK

swankymodes
I'll be at the auction tonight. If the bidding is reasonable, I'll take a stab at winning this one.
dante3000
I would honestly venture this shouldn't go more than $150. Though i can see two Yemin fanatics getting into a bidding war and sending it over $250.
swankymodes
$250 would definitely be out of my "reasonable" price range, even as a Paint it Black collector.
