Releases like this get me really stoked to be doing a label. It has always been a dream of mine to have artists on our label respect the other artists we work with to the point where they are doing releases and tours together. This is the first of several we have planned for 2009 and I could not pick a better one to start with. Joey Cape who many of you know from being one of our greatest songwriters (Lagwagon, Bad Astronaut, Playing Favorites) brings us a song from the Bridge sessions, "I'm Not Gonna Save You". Jon Snodgrass, who is no slouch in the songwriting area and who you should know from Drag the River and Armchair Martian brings us a different version of a song from his upcoming debut album. The song, "Brave With Strangers" was performed at a much slower tempo than the version on some of our samplers. The result is a great split 7".

We wont' have copies until the end of January, but we will send everyone who pre-orders a copy the songs digitally on Christmas Eve so long as you pre-order by this date. If you pre-order afterwards, you will not receive the songs digitally until you receive the actual record w/ a coupon.

Pressing info is as follows: 200 on Red, 300 on White, and 500 on blue.

There is a test pressing contest, too. Good luck!

Does this has some kind of amazing packaging or something? $5.99 for a two song 7" seems a tad high.

pressing costs are higher now for a 7" than ever before. Plus our bands get a percentage of the copies as their royalty for the pressing.
