I read it early and he says the movie is amazing, that it shot like a documentary, and Mickey Rourke is perfect because of all his issues, he might as well be playing himself. I'm interested. swank Posted December 20, 2008 Share Posted December 20, 2008 Pretty bummed that I slept on this and focused on trying to get Zach and Miri tickets at the Film Fest this year. Looks totally badass. Although, I keep hearing that Mickey is now "uninterested" in reprising his "Marv" role in a Sin City sequel, and I fear that the success of this will only make it worse. casey Posted December 20, 2008 Share Posted December 20, 2008 Yeah, I'm hoping The Wrestler gets released here. Movies like this are usually hit or miss as far as getting released here. We do have a small, independent theater that plays indie/arthouse movies, but usually a couple months after they've been shown elsewhere. We did get Burn After Reading at the megaplex, but no Synecdoche, New York. Fingers crossed for The Wrestler getting played here one way or the other.
