Derek™
"the vinyl bubble" = 20 copies of "chinese democracy" on a shelf at a local best buy The same could probably be said about the physical CD copies, too. This is an instance where it's less about the vinyl / collector trend, and more about an album just being atrociously bad. I think.
thieves
man, wish I would have known shape of punk to come was worth so much pre-reissue... I would have sold that off for $300 in a heartbeat and go on a shopping spree at the record stores around town.

While the musical content on that forum is far superior to this one, it isn't nearly as much fun to troll.
vwagens88
Great posts in this thread. I have been collecting vinyl for about 7 years now and as I have become more interested in newer music instead of the older stuff it has been harder to obtain records. It took me forever to get portugal the mans vinyl because people want $50 or more for a single record which I think is insane. Luckily they toured close to me and sold all of their vinyl at the show for $15-$20 each. I just wanted the vinyl to listen to because I like the music but some people own 5 copies of each splatter colored etc. etc. record a certain company printed because its limited. I just wish most records were available like other forms of music where its always available. Until records become much more popular though they will not become widely available for purchase.
