dante3000
I think we need to hear some stories behind these! Hopefully not too many of them start with, "So this mentally challenged friend of mine has a bunch of punk rock records and..." Honest to god true story of my Against Me! Red white people for peace. They announced it on Punknews.org that they would have them at their upcoming tour. I knew the date they came through and knew I had work that night. I posted asking someone, anyone to hook me up. Someone close to the band read the post and messaged me via MySpace saying to let them know if I wanted one and they'd hook me up. I contacted them and we had a phone call. During the course of the call I mentioned I'm a record nerd and I'd seek out a red one later as the boxes were unmarked and they set aside a black one for me (it was free I'm not complaining). Couple days later a red one shows up in my mailbox. Apparently, they sifted through the boxes to find a red one. I was stoked.

hickey
I agree with whoever said that there needs to be some context to these. If you got them at a good price because you bought it when it was first released, I wouldn't necessarily consider that a great score. However, If you won something on ebay or found something in a store for a fraction of what it usually goes for, that is a good score. melikecheese
Secret Machines - September 00, blue vinyl 12" for $15 bucks of ebay about a year ago, what a deal! Took me over 2 years to get one. Its been OOP print for a few years, think this was limited to 500. We have a $3 bin of cd's at Used Kids records, I find lots of good CD's there for 3 bucks, found the same Secret Machines release on cd, with the colored inserts and everything for 3 bucks. Also found my entire colelction of Flaming Lips and Beatles albums in this section.
