ALot of people concider Highly refined Pirates their best work. All of their albums are classics though, my personal favorite is they make beer comercials like this EP. I would say start with that it's an EP so it's something wont take as long to get into

thejetsjets
"highly refined pirates" is the best, although Jake Snyder was better in Sharks Keep Moving.
Guest errolwest
There should be a tour where every band that came before MTB, would play. Follewed by mtb
jhulud
If you haven't checked them out before...start at the beginning w/ 'Highly Refined Pirates' and work your way from there. As for the new album...looking forward to it. If any of the video teasers are a clue, it will be good stuff.
oakland
I don't know man, I think they've just gotten better and better, refining their sound. Planet of Ice is an epic album. I know it's not cool to like a band's most recent record the most but, yeah, that's where I'm coming from. For me they go backwards from there. All pretty damn good though. rtw88
It's definitely a toss up between Planet of Ice and Menos El Oso for me. My favorite song is I'm Totally Not Down With Rob's Alien though.

Guest errolwest
For me MTB's albums are like children, in the sense that i'd feel bad if I started picking favourites.
