jayeffscene
I loved it when Converge opened with Plagues. I saw this in Brooklyn. It was epic because the rest of the band was on stage for like 3 minutes before J.

heavyheavylowlow
Manchester Orchestra should open with 100 dollars. That one short track encompasses everything they've done for the past 5 years beautifully.

jurrobear
I was just listening to Former Clarity a couple days ago and thought that Miami would be an amazing opener. They opened with it the last time I saw in LA, its a pretty song, but the best opener ever is Brand New opening with "You Won't Know" -juliO! swank
In 2005 I saw NOFX and they opened the show by playing The Decline. Blew my head off, man.
nickheitman
I was just listening to Former Clarity a couple days ago and thought that Miami would be an amazing opener. when I saw them they opened with Sink Florida Sink. I thought that was a great opener. Polar Bear Club opened with Our Ballads. Pretty fucking great way to start off a set of theirs. the best was when they opened with parked in the parking lot of your heart. and the first time i saw against me they opened with miami. both of these times ruled. sgoodcore
i like it when bands open with NOT TALKING FOR 10 MINUTES! Seconded. Just get up and play for a bit, then say hi. Or better yet, if you're the band on the marquee just fucking play for an hour with no talking and all rocking!

nickheitman
Invasions by Energy, such an incredible intro this is backed. killed so many people when they played this on the SYG/FYS tour.
cadetapplesauce
Lifetime opening with "Turnpike Gates" made my life. seriously. the first lifetime song i ever heard, and probably my most favorite song of theirs. NFG opening with "at least I'm known for something" was pretty cool

ihprstl
boy sets fire: after the eulogy. saw the play this mid-set once and it was the WORST thing ever...then again they were opening for Pennywise, which was also a poor decision. I was at that show and had a blast. That was the only time I've ever seen Pennywise play a full set.

The Lawrence Arms have a lot of song that would make for a great opener in my opinion.

Snaggle Von Swift
something i've wanted to see for 10 years now (but never will) Green Day opening a show with "Panic Song" may not be the best overall, just something i've always wanted.
