Guest
Sometimes people make things up. Also, what does this even mean? There is some EXTREMELY minor wear on the front cover
aarondanger
Weird. Mines on blue

kouka
does the label just say "DGC" and no band/album name?
seafoamgreen
I've seen only 2 copies on black. I had no idea they might be bootlegs...

hobophobic
haha, I guess we ALL saw this on ebay! how much did it go for? and how is the sound quality on this, Hobo? I posted the link to the auction in my original post. Theres still 3 days on it and no ones bid on it. The starting bid is ridiculusly high at $79, so no one may bid on it at all. I wouldnt know anything about the sound quality since its not my auction.

staggerlee
ordered a copy of the newest repress from flight 13, a german distro: its on black. since they didnt state it was a boot, my assumption is, that all the new copies are on black. 706union
Because of the printed inner sleeve I doubt that it´s a boot. More likely a new repress...
hobophobic
Because of the printed inner sleeve I doubt that it´s a boot. More likely a new repress... The newer represses are on blackball records...2X LP on black vinyl. This is apparently on DGC

bill
Could it be an original euro press? I think I remember this album being advertised on all three formats in the UK when it came out.
chiefwahoo
Could it be an original euro press? I think I remember this album being advertised on all three formats in the UK when it came out. That was my thought as well. But it's missing the typical markings on the label itself.
monstercody
I have this record. Black vinyl on Geffen (DGC) copyright 1995. I can safely say without any question: 1. It is not a bootleg. I bought it new from a local record store the week it came out and took off the shrink wrap myself. 2. It is an original US pressing. All matrix marks, labels, cover and inserts are straight up legit. 3. It sounds fucking fantastic. I see there is a lot of speculation going on about the authenticity, but I can straight up say an original press on DGC was on glorious BLACK vinyl. monstercody
As requested. Here are some detail pics of the Dear You lp on black. No picture I took could pick up the matrix but it is Side 1: DGC-24831-A-GLI. Side 2: DGC-24831-B-REL and also Gateway/Masterdisk.
