lonesomexloveus
i'm bored out of my skull at work for another 20 minutes and obviously this makes me want to purchase a pair of new shoes. i'm thinking about the newman's: anyone have any experiences/opinions/'hey allison those look sweet' /'hey allison those are god awful looking' comments? silentgods
they look like plain old average shoes to me lady. nothing particulary eye-grabbing about them. but then i only wear chuck taylors and vans. so i suppose it depends on what my opinion is worth to you. lonesomexloveus
i'm having issues finding non-neon, non-high top skate style shoes. i usually get DCs or circa, but they're either neon, or look like a 12 year old should be wearing them, haha. silentgods
i'm sort of a purist when it comes to skate shoes, i really only ever wear vans.
motorbike
stick with vans. these look just like addidas sambas when you wear them, which to me look like someone wearing black socks with rubber glued to the bottom. they just always look weird. benchwarmer
said it once, I'll say it again, all the macbeth shoes I've had have fallen apart. weren't put together very well. get some tigers.
kurtz
I have a pair from back when the company first started out (03 I think?). I never wore them much because they were not very comfortable. Maybe over the years they have improved on the comfort level though.
jasonskanks
ive got a pair that look a lot like that. i like them
circlingvultures
Not a fan of any shoe this company has put out, all real ugly looking. Wearing skate shoes if you dont skate is silly too. Just because they are usually really big and thick and look goofy. Onitsukas are the way to go. Durable, comfortable, light, and a million different colors all for around $70 so totally affordable. sgoodcore
Onitsukas are the way to go. Durable, comfortable, light, and a million different colors all for around $70 so totally affordable. Except in the case you have wide feet, in which case Tigers blow goats in the desert sun. And for what its worth, I had a pair of Macbeths I really liked if memory serves. I got them a while back though probably 3-4 years ago now.
kirbypuckett
IMO, those shoes are pretty ugly and I don't dig 'em. They're just bland. Note: I really like ugly shoes, so that's saying something.

somanycolors
I purchased a pair of Macbeth's and they fell apart after 3 months. Very uncomfortable shoes also. I'll just echo what everyone said, stick to Vans.

monk0nuggets
I've owned Macbeths and I really like them, but they are kind of a narrow brand, so eventually I couldn't wear them because my feet got upset. Now I only wear black suede Vans slip-ons. I have had four pairs in the last 4 years.
alangrey
vans old schools or vans mid-top old schools are the way to go.

scooterist136
I've been wearing the various shoes from MacBeth for a couple years now. It took me a while to find a shoe by them that didn't fall apart quickly. Don't buy the Eliot because they won't last, especially if you go to shows and dance. I really like these: http://macbeth.com/catalogproduct/manchester I've only had the vegan ones so I am not sure how well the non-vegan ones hold up. But generally, not always, vegan shoes fall apart pretty easily. These have lasted for a while.
