THE POST YOUR MUSIC GEAR THREAD (w/pics)

Recommended Posts

Havent seen this thread, thought I would start it in celebration of my band's trip to American Steel guitarist, Ryan Massey's own Sharkbite Studios for 8 days of recording our full length. Getting everything geared up, tweaked and ready to go.

Here is my set up:

Pictured is a Fender Tele Deluxe Custom with switched out pots and electrics, Grover locking tuners. I play through a Fender deluxe reverb and an Orange 212 cab.

My pedal set up from left to right are as follows: Boss TU-2, Boss DD-6, Boss DD-20, Line 6 Verbzilla, Fulltone Full Drive 2 (with Keely mod), 1986 ProCo RAT (with original LM308 IC chip), BBE Boosta Grande, Ernie Ball Stereo Volume Pedal, Ebow.

I am currently working on getting a Mid-Fi Glitch Computer as well as a Memory Man. Not pictured is my guitar case, which i love, looks like this:

How are those Fat Boy's voiced? They Gain saturated ala Mesa Boogie, mid range chunky like Marshalls or do they fit more along Vox, Matchless etc?

They have three channels. The clean channel sounds Fenderish. The midgain channel sounds like a Marshall and the third channel is a modern high gain channel. You can make the third channel sound like a Mesa by turning the Mids down.

I've owned or played nearly every amp at this point (Bogners, Diezels, Mesas, VHTs, etc) and nothing comes close to a Fatboy. Unfortunately they only made around 160 of them so they're hard to find.

HA! No. I've never even played any Dumble clones (Two-Rock, Fuchs, etc). I've always assumed that they weren't my thing. They're blues amps.

I've never played a Trainwreck amp, either.

Those HIWATT amps have the absolute niceness clean channel I've ever heard.
