We are excited to share with you the news that we will be releasing Portugal the Man’s “It’s Complicated Being a Wizard” domestically as a 12″ LP. The 23 minute EP will be released as a single sided LP with the B-side an etching of a drawing by Portugal’s John Gourley (pictured). This EP was originally released by by Approaching Airballoons / Reincarnate Music on CD in the United States and on CD and vinyl by Defiance in Germany. We will be pressing 1,000 copies (333 on light blue vinyl, 667 on black vinyl). There will also be a limited edition 12 x 12 hand-numbered silkscreen that will accompany the blue and black vinyl. 200 silk-screens will be printed (1-100 for the Light Blue vinyl / 101 to 200 for the black vinyl). The copies with the silk-screen will cost a little more than the copies without. We just love this art and wanted to do something extra special for this release. Our vinyl edition will come with an mp3 download coupon that will allow you to download the entire 23 minute recording.

These records will be in hand around the end of September, your pre-order will allow you to have a chance to win a test pressing of this record. Good luck. Do not snooze on this pre-order, this will sell out.

Will the silk screens be different for the blue/black? I was thinking about getting both, but if they're going to be the same I don't think it's necessary.

there are 2 distinctly different silk-screens of the same cover art, but they will be different from each other.

I can't comprehend how people complain that $20 is too expensive for a record with a print, but then go out and drop hundreds on just a print. Sure it may be a better "known" artist, but it's still stupid to me people complain at prices over stuff like that.

Hopefully there are some black with prints left when I leave work.

Edit: Broke down and used paypal here at work, now I'll probably go home to find my shit comprimised.

a one sided LP costs the same as a 2 sided LP because of the etching. The jacket and insert cost the same whether it is 1 sided or 2. And the etching pretty much has the same set up costs as if it had audio on that 2nd side. And $7.00 for a hand-numbered limited edition Lithograph of John Gourley's art is a fucking steal. I have no problem with this price.
