jailhouse
But I am interested in finding out where to find, or links with info etc, on all the Tori Amos vinyl singles and bootlegs. I know she has at least 40 or so "official" vinyl releases. If anyone knows or has info, I would be highly interested in finding out pressing info etc, and places to possibly find some of the more rare stuff, it would be greatly appreciated. jhulud
Why would that make you a pussy? Tori Amos is a great musician. And she has collaborated w/ some of my favorite musicians: Trent Reznor and Maynard James Keenan of TOOL.
hickey
Yeah, nothing pussy about loving Tori. Anyway, I would find it hard to believe her vinyl is difficult to track down. I don't think her core fanbase is that into vinyl. Look around online. I bet you can find some sweet buy it now options on ebay.
jailhouse
Agreed I haven't listened to her in a few years, this morning I put on a couple of her records, and am still amazed at the talent and raw emotion of her songs. I have seen her 4 times, since Under the Pink tour. I really don't like her new stuff, but 2005 and below is mind blowing.
mrc
I was never a fan, but i did get my GF some front row tickets to her show a couple years ago for our anniversary and i figured it was going to be rather boring, but i was wrong. surprise surprise. I do think i like ani difranco better, but i havent listened to any of her stuff in years
hickey
I can't stand Ani Difranco. I saw Tori live with my gf in college and she was amazing - bouncing back and forth between two pianos, screaming her heart out one second, almost whispering another...she's a talented lady. I don't know song or album titles, but when my wife throws on a CD by her I always enjoy it.

counterfiction
I always thought Tori Amos' stuff was pretty kickass. my wife makes fun of me for it but it's mostly because my wife is a classically trained pianist. Ani Difranco on the other hand, well, I can't stand her. She reminds me of all the trustafarians (rich white hippies) that I can't stand who come into my record store to buy Nag Champa and String Cheese Incident CDs. :::shudder:::

counterfiction
word. she's got a Steinway Grand sitting right behind me and a Korg below that. what do you need played?
ronniethebear
I don't really have parts written for the songs because I'm not a pianist; I can only play easy chords and pick things out here and there. I've been trying to find someone with classical training and a good ear/sense of melody to play on my pop rock stuff.

jailhouse
wow lot's of Amos love here. I've never even listened to her.where should one start? I would say deffinitely with Under The Pink. It's a tad more listener friendly, and catchy, and is before she starts getting really in depth, and complex. great album! P.S I'm not gay! rafter242
Another vote for Ani DiFranco being awesome. Her back catalogue is not perfect, but when she's on, she's great!
flood
first two tori albums are flawless... it kind of went steadily downhill from there... the best description i heard was that she was a couple tarot cards short of a full deck that said i have all her cds and cd singles up until i think choirgirl hotel. ani... notsomuch
