supchillinyou
Say a label wanted to release a couple of records from the same band. As collectors, would you rather see the release be a limited edition double LP, with one record on each LP, or as two separately packaged LPs. The double LP would be cheaper to buy than having to order both of the singles...
salparadise
two separate lps. albums to me are supposed to be one individual piece of art. i don't like the idea of putting two pieces of art together to be cost effective, i prefer two separate pieces of are, as they were intended. adammuzzy
if it's two different releases, i'd definitely say different packaging/single lp's. unless of course you're releasing it's our time by four year strong with another thing of early shit, then either way i'm getting hard. brady
Personally, I'd like to see two single LPs. My main reason for that is, what if someone didn't like one album but liked the other?
311thrice
I could go for a double LP Northstar package: Is This Thing Loaded and Pollyanna.
monk0nuggets
I was actually thinking about this same thing. If I can license the Intronaut stuff, I was thinking of putting Null and Void together as one release. It just seems like the right thing to do for those recordings, but it wouldn't work for everything I suppose.
nickheitman
two single LPs would be cheaper (for the consumer) if they just wanted one. and if they like both they can just order both and you can make hella. but if the albums are both very similar and not too different from each other then it may work as a 2xLP. markalark17
Well, the double LP could be like a box set type of thing. Like what Virgil did with the Norma Jean stuff.

But, I couldn't see it working for the most part.

Guest scriptedrain
Two separate LPs. Personally, I hate the idea of two albums put together.
heavyheavylowlow
Bugger 2 single LPs, I want it putting out on 27 different colours on 180g, with over size pullout lyrics sheet and 8 times gatefold sleeves or your not seeing a dime
rafter242
2 single LPs. There, I've said it. I feel better now. Mark
cosmonaut
2 single LPs is usually best, but sometimes the double with new artwork is awesome, like Petitioning Forever.
