casey
I always found it strange how his snare tilts so far forward.

casey
A lot of drummers do, and I've never seen one set his snare up like that. Dude is awesome though. I remember him being on the Muppet Show back in the day.

Guest kevinb
all he is doing is just beating the shit out of his kit. I think that must distract some people or something Don't get me wrong he is a decent drummer but most of his stuff consists of simple but tight beats and some odd time signature fills
sgoodcore
I know there's a song the Aquabats don't play any more, or so I was told, because Barker isn't their drummer any more.
dante3000
It's too bad this is the best clip I could find. This is one of my favorite drummers. I love the fact that the dude is less than 5 feet tall too.

Gil Sharone, formerly of DEP is fucking incredible, though.

I love when people beat the shit out of their drums as well I think it's kind of dis hearting when they don't.Seems almost like they are half assing it but you must keep in mind some of the drummers who are playing stuff that is more complex it is harder to pull that off. controlthebleeding
kevinb, thanks for acknowledging how bad ass buddy rich is.. here is one of my fav drum solos http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNhnioNNIPI&hl=en&fs=1 well next to the original and probably one of the most phenomenal with Gene Krupa http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0zpcESDK3Y&hl=en&fs=1 Krupa has to be one of my favorite all time drummers. mostly because of my parents. They introduced me to him at a early age. the guy basically standardized modern drumming for everyone. Rich took from him and went exceeded what he learned. Next to these two there are few drummers who have the dexterity and speed to compete and write like these two.
