First of all, we just want to thank you all again for preordering the upcoming Junius album, "The Martyrdom of a Catastrophist". The response has been huge and for that, we're totally thankful to everyone =) Now jumping right into it, we've hit a couple snags on the vinyl for this one and just want to give everyone an update on the status of their preorder and explain where we are at and what is currently going on. We discovered a slight audio defect on the US pressing of the album that we, as a label, overlooked when the test presses were approved. Even if it's subtle, it changes the way the album was meant to be experienced and we feel it is our job, as a label, to correct the mistake. So we're having one of the records in the 2xLP set repressed without the defect, which shouldn't take very long. Now we, as record collectors ourselves, know how frustrating it is to be waiting on a record you preordered to show up. So while we are waiting for the repressing to get done and sent to us, we're going to mail anything else that you may have ordered with it. For example, if you ordered the limited tote bag edition, we'll mail the tote bag to you now - then mail the record in a few weeks as soon as we get them. Hopefully that will ease some of the frustration =) Also, CD's will start shipping tomorrow as well. And if you ordered any distro items with your preorder, we'll mail those now too. Trust us, we know it's a bummer - but when it's all said and done, we'll all be better off. We're just asking for a little more patience and a little understanding - when a band works so hard on an album and puts all the blood, sweat, soul, and tears into a documentation of their developement - the last thing we're going to do is allow that to be compromised. In the meantime, here are some pictures of the album for those of you that have asked: Here are the color configs all together: Bronze/Black swirl, 100 pressed - only a few left Clear w/Bronze haze, 100 pressed - only a few left Cream w/Bronze haze, limited to 200. Only available from the band at US/UK tour dates! Bronze, limited to 600 Shots of the matte finish: Shots of the booklet Tote bag edition: Only 2 left CD version: CD's are available and shipping immediately from here on out! So there's the photo session =) Hopefully it can convey some of the enormous amount of work that went into just that stage of the process. The band had a hands on approach throughout and given the amount of energy they've spent on this and the personal sacrifices they've made for it, we just aren't comfortable shipping the records until we have the audio glitch fixed on the one LP of the set so that it is presented exactly the way they intended. Hopefully everyone can empathize, but if you feel you've been had in any way or just don't think you can bare to wait a few more weeks, let us know and we'll refund your money if you feel that's the only solution for you. But like we said earlier in the email, we're going to begin shipping everything that was included in all preorders, except the 2xLP, and then ship the 2xLP to you all immediately upon receiving them, which shouldn't be very long at all, approximately 4 weeks or so at the very most, we'll have a more definite shipping date within the next week or two for you as well. But as you can see, everything is completed and we'll just be waiting on the corrected LP to land on our doorstep =) Again, so sorry for the hold up, but we swear it will be worth it and everyone will be EXTREMELY stoked when they receive the final document =) And in the end, this little snag will be forgotten as you're listening to the magic permeate from your speakers.
