thesupervillain
I've read it and I think it's definitely his best novel. The movie looks almost exactly as I was picturing it in my head while reading... except my version had no Viggo Mortensen.
monk0nuggets
I can't wait to see this movie. The book was fucking awesome. If you could take the time to read a McCarthy book in English, you really should. He's really an incredible writer.

rocknroll76
I loved this book. I'm excited for the movie, but the trailer looks a little deceiving...the wife shouldn't be in it that much, and we shouldn't know what the catastrophe was. silentgods
Its his second best novel, i really hope they didn't add more just for Charlize Theron's character. Blood Meridian is my favorite, but that movie will never. ever. ever. be made.
monk0nuggets
I still need to pick up Blood Meridian. I've only read The Road and All The Pretty Horses.

scotterson
Yup, fantastic book, movie looks great. I agree that there seems to be a little more added to the movie, but we'll see. Also, The Sunset Limited is a great book. It seems to be overlooked a lot because it's a dialogue and not in the fiction section, but it's a really great and short read. steventangent
I'm a big fan of McCarthy, and The Road is probably my favorite book. The reviews have been mixed, but honestly, I think maybe people have different expectations of the movie than what they should. Also, the reviews I've read say that it isn't revealed what kind of catastrophe happens. Also, Blood Meridian is awesome. But I'm not holding my breath for that to be a movie either. I just got a couple more of his books for my birthday, I gotta get to them though. And I got some of his audiobooks.
cosmonaut
Stoked for this film. Also, for fans of The Wire: Omar is in this movie. Super stoked.
inutil
This is one of the best books i've read this year, if not the best. I'm really excited to watch the movie...i hope it'll be an adaptation as good as No Country For Old Man was.

kirbs84
Saw it last night. Really enjoyed it, so did my wife. Thought the pacing of the movie was good, and the tense parts were excellent.
LowEndAutomatic
Man, I have to get out and see this before the weekend is over...
skanknsmile
Very good. It makes me want to read the book again as well. I did enjoy that they captured the wife character like the book set it. That was the part I was worried about the most. Robert Duvall did a really good job as well.
scotterson
This is not playing anywhere near me. I thought it was going to get a wider release than it did. Hopefully it will make it's way close by.
