stranaspank
They don't do it anymore.
suburbanargyle
Way to get my hopes up. I got the impression over the past year that the Singles Club was a real headache over at Sub Pop. I was happy overall with the records I got though, and would sign up again if they did it. I'd guess it'll be a couple of years though. cj
i'd definitely sign up again... but i doubt they will do it for a few years. if i remember right they mentioned how they knew how crazy they were for even trying to do it last year
AlexH.
Stupidest/most disappointing thread.
jhulud
Damn!!!...I was hoping also that was to announce a new one for this year. I dug last year's...a few duds...but overall worth it to check out new music I wouldn't have otherwise.
Guest
Does anyone know of any other subscriptions?
suburbanargyle
AOTU is the most consistent one out there, but mostly pop-punk and related genres. I'm paid up for a bunch more of these and can't wait. HoZac had a pretty good one last year, and will be doing one again this year. Will be buying when that comes out. Here is a new garage/noise one that I saw advertised on Terminal Boredom. I listed to all the samples and liked half of the bands a lot, but I can't afford to buy on a lark right now. http://www.lemon-session.com/2010/01/27/the-unveiling-lemon-session-singles-club-2010/
silentgods
sold most of them except for black mountain and OM.
copter76
I would like to own the black mountain one. Sorry guys if the tittle of the thread are a little bit confussed. English isn't my mother tongue BTW if you want to spend 60$(each 3 months) for a double lp ,a "7 and other surprise thing(these releases are only for vault members) goes to the THIRD MAN RECORDS VAULT. I did my subscription on 05/07/2009 and I got the two special packages. Love both of the vault packages.
celebdeath
pretty disappointed with subpop 3.0. Om and Black Mountain were nice, circle and unnatural helpers were OK, the rest were pretty ordinary. a more impressive subscription series imo is the Volcom Entertainment Vinyl Club. v.2010 so far has The Bronx and Mariachi El Bronx, amongst others, on the line-up. its only $40 too. http://www.volcoment.com/ecom/details.asp?cid=8&sid=&pid=
Fartcat
I think I might be getting that Volcom one...great price and decent lineup
