monk0nuggets
I thought Deathproof was better, but they were definitely both fun. Too bad you missed them in theaters. It was an experience to be had.

cadetapplesauce
i dont think you're missing that much with death proof. it's just a STRAIGHT HOUR of quentin tarantino dialogue, a car crash, and a half hour car chase, pretty much. Guest kingbuzzo
I saw this in theaters twice and loved it both times. Planet Terror is fun but doesn't even come close to having a real grindhouse feel. I felt like I was watching a Troma film. Death Proof on the other hand was amazing. I have it on dvd but haven't gotten around to watching the extended cut yet.
wadeboggs
the new 2disc release will have both movies with the trailers just like you saw it in the theater. I love everything those dudes do

But that last half hour is fucking insane. Totally worth the semi boring dialogue you have to sit through.
Guest vito
i liked them both but death proof was pretty "meh". planet terror is fantastic, one of my favourite movies of the year.
boizee
Sayid (don't know his real name) is more BA in Lost than he was in GH. The actor is Naveen Andrews... But in Planet Terror he collected dude's BALLZ! How much more badass could that be?
Guest abravemorning
Saw this 4 times in theatres, including 1 time at the drive in. Best theatre experience ever.

skumbucket
i also saw it three time in theatres, most fun i've ever had at the movies hands down. loved them both, even though i'm pretty certain i fell asleep in the middle of 'deathproof' at least once, if not multiple times. xjustinxschwierx
Deathproof > Planet Terror Fucking amazing in theaters. I too am holding out until they come out on dvd together, fuckers. So frustrating that they did that.
dante3000
Saw them in theaters (and at the risk of sounding like "That guy") it really helped the experience to have a bottle of jagermeister during the movie. Best part is still the preview for Thanksgiving. As for the two, Planet Terror is heads and tails above Deathproof. It made no sense, there's a 30 minute build up just to show you that Snake Plissken actually kills people and then it's an entirely different cast. Secondly, with the second group of girls, why didn't they just hit the breaks? Even if they rolled off the road (like rolled to a stop not rolled the car) it wouldn't have caused that much damage or killed the girl on the hood. It was a 30 minute car chase with some ridiculous "Girl Power" at the end. On it's own it's okay but with Planet Terror before it, Death Proof was just weak. chunkrock
I think Death Proof is the better of the two films. I think it would have worked better for the pacing to have it first as Planet Terror was non-stop action and having Death Proof come on after was very Anti-Climactic.
