training a puppy

Recommended Posts

I hardcore lucked out with my dogs. One is a lab that doesn't have much drive to do anything destructive. The other is a lab-Aussie Shepherd mix that is high energy, but crazy obedient. I never really trained her, she just got used to my click noise and comes running when I do it. She's so needy that she is around me so often anyway. I walk her off the leash a lot and she walks ahead, stops, checks to see if I'm still coming, walks, stops, turns around to check again, walks, stops, checks again, walks.. etc. The only time I have problems is when she's home alone, because she has separation anxiety because she's a hand-me-down dog.
