opivy
From the Saves The Day website: Saves The Day will be performing Weezer's Pinkerton album at this year's Hoodwink Festival on April 30th, 2010. Hoodwink takes place at the Meadowlands the night before Bamboozle. I know this news has been up for awhile, but is anyone here going to this? I really want to but after ticketmaster charges it's like $40 a ticket...
amsterdamned
Of all the things I'd like to see Saves The Day play in it's entirety, one of Weezer's albums is not one of them.
robotnerd
i've seen weezer play weezer's pinkerton, why would i pay so much to see saves the day do it?

Japes
I'm a big fan of Saves the Day, but I'm not really sure I can get behind this. Pinkerton is a masterpiece in my mind. Don't know how I feel about this at all.

kurtmanner
I do see this as a kind of cop out, but really, no one sees ANY potential in Chris Conley doing something interesting with this. Rough. My hopes aren't high, but I have expectations.

chaps
Awesome story- Around the time sound the alarm leaked, my friend and I went to see STD and were singing along to the "new" songs chris was playing. he was pissed and made some comment like "you aren't cool". I was not aware of this and a couple of the comments people made lead me to believe that cover sets were not the standard for this show. My mistake for making that assumption. Given that fact; I like this idea a bunch.

six42intheam
say anything playing songs by the misfits, sounds worse to me than std playing pinkerton
siphon123
I like STD. I like weezer. STD covering Weezer?? Maybe?
joshnotgood
I'm really surprised to see so many people hate on Saves the Day. I guess I'd like to know where everyone thinks they went to shit because I've enjoyed most of their stuff (there might be a song or two here and there that I don't like). And though I haven't heard their newest, I'd imagine their show being a lot of fun with tons of sing-a-long songs. Buttloads probably. thedavidescapeplan
What's weird about all this is that STD is covering Weezer and another band is doing a cover set as STD at the same fucking festival.
jurrobear
Aside from MCS covering NIN, I have no interest in hearing any of this.

nickj
Aside from MCS covering NIN, I have no interest in hearing any of this. i think the word "ruining" would be more accurate than "performing" in all of these cases
kurtmanner
I will be reporting back on this show later tonight. Don't expect any great news haha. I'm going to try to catch Emmure, Steel train, Say anything, MCS, and STD. This should be interesting. I'm setting my expectations low, so I'm going to have a good time no matter what.
