kyleevanswastaken
This should be sticky'd. 1) If you are having trouble with feedback from your turntable its probably the ground wire being disconnected. Your turntable doesn't have a ground wire? That is the problem. Is a record skipping on your turntable? Your tone arm isn't adjusted properly. 2) If you are having trouble figuring out which pressing of a No Idea records release you have its No Idea purple and you will just have to live with uncertainty ( I think they look like razzles and should be referred to as razzle coloured vinyl.) 3) Do you need a shelf for your records and want to know what this whole forum will recomend? Its an expedit, put it together properly, and don't put a 4x4 or 5x5 one on its side or else it will collapse and you will look like a moron. Don't feel like shelling out 120 bucks for a shelving unit that will display you 150 copies of 10 different records? Build one your self. No good with your hands? Cinder Blocks, 2x4s and Plywood will work splendid. 4) If the center hole on a record is too small and it is hard to take the record off of the turn table you can use an exacto knife or anything with a small blade to shave off a little bit of the inside of the hole. Are there any other questions that get asked once a week because the search feature on this forum is horrid? EDIT: The how much would pressing a 7"/LP cost question should definitely be added. Dillhole
LP Inner Sleeves: http://www.sleevetown.com/lp-sleeves-inner.shtml LP Outer Sleeves: http://www.sleevetown.com/lp-sleeves-outer.shtml Record Cleaning Machine (KAB EV1): http://kabusa.com/ev1.htm Record Cleaning Fluids: http://www.elusivedisc.com/departments.asp?dept=275 (pick any brand, really can't go wrong. I recommend MoFi or RRL) Stylus's and Cartridges: www.lpgear.com , www.needledoctor.com , www.garage-a-records.com A small chunk of Mr. Clean Magic Eraser works as a excellent stylus cleaner. Use the cue level or carefully place it on the cube a couple times. Don't brush it on the stylus, just dip it. I had a old stylus I only used a small brush to clean. The one I have been using now for 5 months still looks new due to the magic eraser, unlike the old one with just the brush. Plus the cubes are only a couple bucks and will last well forever. I saw this on another forum with microscope images to prove it, plus countless positive comments on the method.
thesack18
In The Red Vol 1.5 7" series still hasnt been sent out to customers who bought it over a year ago now. Still waiting on the last two 7"s. Virgil is refusing to answer anything about it, so im guessing he has no plans to follow through on his side of the transaction
