Guest afsdan
I just picked up this little puppy. I'm pretty stoked, cuz I've never seen one (except for Juan's photo here) also, are the bonus tracks on "let the light in" Euro/Jap/Aus pressings identical? is the 3-way split 7" still available anywhere? seemingly not, but maybe Juan knows! great band. heard some tracks from the new album last night. can't wait for the vinyl. jhulud
I highly approve of this thread! I believe the "Let The Light In" pressings all have the same tracks. I think. I'll have to double-check. As for the 3-way split, they had it available via their webstore but I recently checked the webstore and it has been taken down. Probably having to do with their new album out and possibly setting up a new store. I really like the new album. It's completely different than what they've done before. More mellow. I am stoked for the vinyl once it comes out.
Guest afsdan
27 was on the first show of touring bands that my old band was a part of. this was right after their first 12" came out. they were all so nice, even though our band wasn't exactly hot shit at the time. some of their records are so damn elusive. the tour 7", the Bug split, the 3-way split, and until last night, the 5". jhulud
I had the most trouble getting the Songs From The Edge of The Wing 12"...Took me a while to track one down. Got it from a dude in VLV. Also...feel free to check the write-up I did for 27 on the TSPV blog: http://theystillpressvinyl.wordpress.com/2010/11/27/27-%e2%80%93-a-discography-look-back/

harryq
I was hoping this was Riverdales/Screeching Weasel related... http://theystillpressvinyl.wordpress.com/2010/11/27/27-%e2%80%93-a-discography-look-back/ In all seriousness though, those pictures look sweet
jhulud
see? VLV ain't that bad! I don't have any problems with VLV. I find their commentary amusing. And actually I had been signed up over there years before VC.
kurt
I recently bought a 7" by this band.... but I haven't listened to it yet. Maybe I should get on that.
Guest afsdan
if it was the "try/night" 7", I suggest just sending it to me in exchange for modest monetary compensation.
kurt
Haha I'm afraid it is not! It's A Million Years b/w Bitter Blue.
Guest afsdan
good record. Juan, do you have a favorite album? I could certainly never choose.
jhulud
Juan, do you have a favorite album? I could certainly never choose. It's hard to choose definitely. I'd have to say the 'Let The Light In' EP since it was my first introduction to 27 and A. Turner does the backing vocals on "April".
hickey
Boy, Juan, you really hate this band!
steveooo
I had the most trouble getting the Songs From The Edge of The Wing I picked this up in a second hand record shop a few years ago for about £7, great score. I never picked up the 3 way split as they were charging too much to ship to the UK
element101
only thing i have from this band is a 7" picture disc. never really listen to them much. this thread makes me want to dig a little further
deafmx
discogs has the Bug split, out of my price range right now. http://www.discogs.com/sell/list?release_id=587321&ev=rb and the 3 way split http://www.discogs.com/sell/list?release_id=2316849&ev=rb
plasma36
That's a great price for the 3-way split but I think I'll leave that for someone who's more of a 27 fanatic than myself.

detuned
i know this is a vinyl board and all, but would any of you be interested in the tour CD version of let the light in? disc itself is presumably the same as the retail version, its just in a plastic sleeve with a folded insert, cover art on the front and tour dates on the back. limited to 199.
