I love Brian's work, and the last few HWM records have been quite solid. I just think it would be refreshing with a new musical vibe if they recorded elsewhere for once. What wrong wit dat? Nothing. The genre is irrelevant, the point is both labels have pretty much the exact same type of bands but in 2011, that is what is considered "screamo" well, its considered "screamo" by people who dont know what theyre talking about. but anyway, rise is notorious for trend hopping and in consideration of some of the other bands they've been signing lately - its not all that surprising to me. just look at the "evolution" of their catalog. no matter how you slice it, sans a very few select bands - rise probably has the biggest hand in promoting in some of the shittiest music of the last 5 - 7 yrs.
