The official B-side/rarity/demo MP3-sharing thread

Hey Scott,

I'm digging February Stars Union. Yes...can you upload the split? That'd be great.

You got it! Here is Adults Are Threatening Creatures, a six-song split CD between Evergreen Trio and the February Stars Union.

http://www.divshare.com/download/6358167-147

A good comparison for Evergreen Trio would be the Gloria Record or Mineral; members from this band went onto be in the Braves, if you've ever heard of them. Feb Stars, as I described above, were co-ed emocore that were very similar to Rainer Maria's early stuff, and it's amazing how much Bridge And Tunnel sound like them (obviously it's just a coincidence, but it's still eerie).

As far as I know, these three songs and the EP I posted the other day are the only recorded February Stars Union material. As for Evergreen Trio, they had a 7-inch (which I unfortunately don't have MP3s for) as well as a full-length and a front-porch acoustic CD, too. If people dig their contributions to this split, lemme know and I'll upload both.

I just signed up here and I was wondering if anyone had Jason Shevchuk's first band Bound's mp3s (they were posted a while back but aren't up anymore). Thanks, I'll have to dig around and see if i have anything to share as well.

i posted those, they are on my other comp which is broken, but when it gets fixed i'll post them if someone hasn't already.

And what Jason fan doesn't also like Dan Yemin. Japan released Paint It Blacks first two albums in one, and included this rare track... It was tough to track down, but it's one of those really REALLY good rarities.

Paint It Black - View From A Headlock

I'd love to post None More Black's - Burning Up The Headphones because it's another REALLY good rarity and very unknown, but it's on iTunes. GO BUY IT.

I also have the Step Ahead (Dave Hause of the Loved Ones and The Curse plays guitar) album "There's Always Hope" but I don't even know the names of the songs, just the order (Track 1, Track 2, etc.). If anyone can figure out the track listing for me, I'll upload it ASAP. I've been dying to know for years.

Any Ted Leo fans? Around Christmas I posted a compilation of 50 covers from Ted on the fanbase forum... 50. Fucking. Covers. He loves his influences.

It's broken up into 3 parts... from albums, from radio studios, and from live shows. Since I can't post the albums link in this thread (PM me if you want the link), you only get about 37 covers, which is still pretty damn good. Just about all of the tracks are really good quality, I'm big on that.

The track listing is in the "Shows" file

Just to give you an idea, you'll find covers of Elvis Costello, Rush, Wire, Adam and the Ants, Queen, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Bragg, and a bunch of other names big and small.

This just surfaced. Really cool stuff.

As the Gaslight Anthem and Brian Fallon have gotten bigger, there's been more and more research into the band members' pasts, especially Fallon's because of his songwriting. I'm sure at least some of us have had the pleasure of hearing some of his previous bands.

This is one of his first recordings. It's called The Coffeehouse Sessions, and apparently it came out in 1997 when Brian was in a band called No Release. The quality isn't the best, and the song's aren't Gaslight Anthem caliber for the most part, but this is definitely worth a listen.

The Gaslight Anthem's fan-run forum is dedicated to getting as much music from the band as possible, and they really dug deep on this one. Check it out and see how incredible Fallon's songwriting is and has always been.

She Coulda Raised The Titanic - This Charming Man (The Gaslight Anthem - 1930 Demo)

Exactly what it says on the tin. This is a demo recording of the song "She Coulda Raised The Titanic" by This Charming Man. This Charming Man went on to become The Gaslight Anthem and the song went on to become 1930. I can't remember where i got it from, but it has been floating around my puter for while.

The quality is not great, think it might be the file rather than the recording though, a few pops and things.

If you like TGA Check out This Charming Man, they had a CD on XOXO. I would rip and post it but i think its still in print.

(Thanks for the Latterman and NMB Demos BTW)

Alright. I finally found out the track listing for the Step Ahead album. In doing so, I found their demo.

Just a reminder, Step Ahead is Dave Hause's oldest known recording band, before The Loved Ones, Paint It Black, and The Curse. Dave doesn't sing lead, and the lyrics don't sound like they came from him, however I can see some of the music being written by him.

No idea on the dates or even years of these... probably sometime around '96

Don't remember if i ever posted this. it's Chemikil, Joey Cape's band before Lagwagon. It's only 1 song and I don't know the name of it, but its fucking awesome. (the song is labeled as chemikill but its chemikil with one l so you might want to change that after you download it.)

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for Out of Order - Eye Caramba and also Loin Groin (from Australia) Time to Start Lovin EP.

Both those cds were stolen from me 2 years ago, and they are long out of print.

I hope there is someone from Australia who can help me. I'm mostly looking for the Song Chicken Parma from that EP....

Thank you!
