DINE ALONE RECORDS EMBRACE MOVEMBER WITH A SHAVE-OFF

Challenge and encourage other labels, artists and fans to participate in DA network

(OCTOBER 31, 2011) – Dine Alone Records will be donating their collective faces to raise awareness about prostate cancer as part of Movember.

The label has created a “Network” page again this year where artists, labels, fans can join in and the consolidated efforts will add all of the collections together giving the network a huge amount raised. “This is a cause that Dine Alone has always felt passionate about, and we hope to make this our most successful year,” says Dine Alone Records and Bedlam Music Management Joel Carriere. “We are asking for people to support our efforts by making whatever donation they can in support of Prostate Cancer Canada.” Artists who have set up teams and joined the network include City and Colour, Yukon Blonde, Library Voices, and The Coppertone who is offering cool incentives based on donations. In addition, Bedlam Music Management artists The Sheepdogs have formed their own team and will be donating $1.00 from the price of each ticket sold to their November 26 show at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton, to Movember.

In addition, Dine Alone will be running uber-cool auctions throughout the month of November including City and Colour test pressings previously unavailable to the public (limit of 10 copies), an Alexisonfire Old Crows / Young Cardinals printer spread, a Universal bundle including box sets from Nirvana, Soundgarden, Airborne Toxic event, a signed Matt Good canvas, a signed book from Nikki Sixx, with other goodies to be added.

The Mo, slang for moustache, and November come together each year for Movember. Movember challenges men to change their appearance and the face of men’s health by growing a moustache. The rules are simple, start Movember 1st clean-shaven and then grow a moustache for the entire month. The moustache becomes the ribbon for men’s health, the means by which awareness and funds are raised for prostate cancer. Much like the commitment to run or walk for charity, the men of Movember commit to growing a moustache for 30 days.

Agreed. No way this pace is keeping up

well 3 days left and its surpassed $750. free bump for a good cause!

Would really love to see this pass $1,000. Prostate cancer runs in my family, and its cool that a hobby I'm into like this can help so much. I just wish I had the money to support this.
