nico Posted February 1, 2012 Share Posted February 1, 2012 I noticed a few copies on clear vinyl have been sold recently. At first I thought they were never made, but now they are out there. Anyone know who was selling them? Also I noticed some sellers have the normal version for sale as red vinyl. Was there a big difference in the colors that the orange version can be mistaken for red? This was supposed to be a "golden ticket" kind of thing where WB was supposed to send out 100 clear copies of each of the side by side 7" releases. After RSD last year, nobody could even verify if they existed. Then out of the blue a seller (overseas no less) put up the Green Day/Husker Du and the Chili Peppers/Ramones singles. How he got em, who knows. But most of the recent ones have been from the LA area, which means that WB employees hoarded this to sell themselves, which kind of defeats the purpose. At least when Matador did this a few years ago for RSD (Beck/Sonic Youth 7", Sonic Youth, Jay Reatard 7" and Pavement LP) with limited colored/numbered versions, actual fans/stores received them. According to Popsike: Green Day/Husker Du: 2 sold---1 @ $150 1 @ 155 Red Hot Chili Peppers/Ramones: 1 sold @ $290 Mastodon/ZZ Top: n/a---looks like nobody has sold this yet on Ebay (or Popsike's DB isn't updated yet), although NothingNatural here has a copy and am not sure where/how he got his....maybe he can come here and let us know.
